First off you look so pretty. I'm loving the hairstyles. I've started off the year with the Infernal Devices trilogy. Read Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince. Currently reading Clockwork Princess. Definitely wanna read The Magnus Bane chronicles since I adore him so much in the show Along with that, definitely wanna read Cinder and Scarlet, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (I was suppose to get this book done last month but I checked out too many books from the library and brought too many home. Hopefully, I can squeeze all those reads

Ruta Sepetys is such a talented author. I met her twice and did interviews of her, she's also so sweet and loves the BookTube community. If you want to learn more about WW2 you should also read her last novel Salt to the sea, it is heartwrenching and you get to know more about the conflict on the eastern side, between Germany and all the eastern countries and Russia.

My TBR list is as long as ever, mainly cause I have a bunch of books to read for school too, so let's hope I keep motivated during the month and don't get in a slump. Good luck with your reading list though! May the odds be ever in your favour

ILLUMINAE IS AMAZING! I was branching out on genres and decided to try a sci-fi and this one caught my eye. It was one of my fav reads that year. It did take me about 50ish pages to get a good flow with the book b/c of the different format but once I did it went quickly! Kady and Ezra are great characters and I loved how Aiden(the A.I.) was so...poetic. Very beautiful. I am not usually a crier or a "talk out loud when I am reading" reader but I teared up and did a few, "WHAT?!?" and "Are you kidding me?!?" on this one. =) The feels are real with Illuminae lol. I hope you get out of your reading slump! ( I am in one now too and it sucks b/c I want to read Gemina!)

I was also in a big reading slump last year... Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I graduated school and had to find a job for my gap year (which was really hard to find!) or because of all the social stuff and the vacations I went to/on. Anyway, I'm starting this year off with reading the last three books of The Throne of Glass-series and from there on I don't really know where to go... we'll see! I have also mercifully allowed myself to buy a couple of books (In reality it might be a little more than 'a couple of books') while I will be in Germany visiting my family next week. And of course Denmark has an absolutely perfect site, where you can get mostly cheap English books, and I'll be getting a couple of books from there!

My grandmother lived in Poland and boarded a train with her friend when they were both teenagers, hoping to go to Germany to get jobs and begin their lives (There was little to no coverage of the state of the war in Germany at the time so they when into the country completely blind, essentially.) They were pulled off the train by Nazis and put into different concentration camps, where they were raped, beaten and tortured to within inches of their lives. My grandmother was then sold off to Germans to be a slave for them. She gave birth while she was a slave and the nazis took her baby and did tests on it until it passed away and she walked ten kilometres through waist deep snow to visit him. She was one of nine children and never saw her brothers or sisters or her parents again. So, I can completely understand why you're passionate about the Holocaust. My grandmother saw and experienced things that haunted her until the day she died and it baffles me that people can actually be so ignorant to think that that part of history is completely fictitious.
