Learn Japanese through conversation! I practice speaking with Keitai san, a Japanese community teacher on italki. It's a good listening practise resource for those studying beginner and intermediate Japanese.
I'm personally between an N4-N3 level, although I still struggle a lot with speaking.
I used to benefit a lot from Benjiro san's italki videos so now I hope these will be helpful to other learners as well. Do subscribe if you'd like to see more of them!
I will be trying to get over my speaking anxiety and do more of these italki recordings in the future, so do subscribe if you'd like to see more of them!

What I love about this conversation with Keitai san, his approach leads me to advance Japanese conversation. I jotted down all the words, and mimicking all the intonations. I already watched the second video with Keitai san about stereotype the day you posted it. I never stop watching these episodes over and over until I master it 😊. Looking forward to see him for the nth times. More power Germaine!

Thank you for saying that! Yea, the encouraging messages that I get on the platform far outweigh the haters, so I’m super thankful for that. Really appreciate the small community that I have here!

I have watched all of Benjirosan's videos, and I loved them. Unfortunatelly he stopped posting - but now I am happy for having found this video made in Benjirosan-style. Great job, thank you!

That was a really fun video to watch. Keitai 先生 has a fun aura of curiosity around him which really kept the conversation interesting. This video is as long as Benjiro's videos. Your videos are the perfect level of "comprehensible input" for my level of Japanese (2 years in). I know it's hard work adding the subtitles and definitions but want to let you know I appreciate it. Keep up the great work!

You have to please come back. At least as a vlogger or something. Don't let your thoughts or fears stop you. You're huge and I can't even express how grateful I'm with the videos you have on your channel and all the hardwork you did is visible. I know you might have too much work to do, or maybe a busy life in general, I know videos dont take just the lenght of the video for making it, but I'm sure you have too much to express and too much to say that's really bad for us here to not to be able to get to know all those things. I hope somehow you get to read this message and if there's even a small part of you willing to come back to youtube (or whatever platform just name it hehe) just do it, please! I hope you stay good 🤗 you, girl, you rock! 🤘

Ha ha yes, his a great guy and it was great to have lessons with him, but I don’t think he is giving lessons anymore. His videos were super helpful and you are doing a great job as well!!! Well done again!!

Haha, I see. I think it’s so interesting that he did this great thing for the Japanese learning community and then suddenly disappeared. It’s always funny to read comments on his channel from people begging him to return 😂. Really cool that you got the chance to speak to the legend himself.

@@abel090713 Given that Benjiro isn't a full-time RU-vidr, I wouldn't say that he vanished but he definitely has other priorities in life now. But Benjiro has definitely created a legacy by proving that these videos are definitely interesting for Japanese learners like us, and we should instead take time to appreciate folks like Germaine who have been inspired by him and are now putting in their own time for free learning content for us.
