I tried, but my Japanese soufflé pancake dreams turned into fluffy flops!
✨recipe:
✨2 Eggs
✨2 tbsp milk
✨3 tbsp flour
✨¼ tsp baking powder
✨½ tsp vanilla extract
✨½ tsp lemon juice
✨2 tbsp sugar
Directions:
1. Separate egg yolks and whites
2. With yolks, add milk and mix until combined
3. In separate bowl, combine baking powder and flour and slowly sift into yolk mixture while stirring. Add vanilla extract.
4. Preheat pan on low heat (300 F)
5. Add sugar to egg whites and whisk until stiff peaks form
6. Slowly incorporate the meringue into yolk mixture
7. Add vegetable oil to pan and wipe around with paper towel. Ladle pancake batter into pan and cover with lid to cook. Flip after around 4 minutes.
