Honestly, I don’t think it got said on the RU-vid video but this guy 😒 he’s not the one who is putting in the work but he wants to make the moment about him. In that woman’s position, I would tell him that’s just fine if he wanted to be the father in the situation, only, not the husband and he’s not the OB/GYN he can wait until the baby is here and then he can come and see the baby as the father but if he’s not gonna be here for me as his wife, then he doesn’t need to be in the room While laboring. He’s obviously not there to be supportive of her because if he was, he would listen to her when she says she needs support through the entire process he doesn’t get to decide for her what is the “easiest” part. And for the love of all that is good in the world if women have to understand that making a birth plan does not mean that they’re actually going to get the birth experience that they want then this grown man can make room for the idea that he is not the person who is going to be centered in this moment because his life is not the one on the line.
I think most women who have given birth would agree that the last part of heavy labor, when you are actually passing the baby, is NOT the easiest part. I don't even know what he means by that.
They're both becoming parents, it's about all three of them. On the other hand, he is not the one going through the huge ordeal of giving birth... He's not the A-hole for dreaming of helping to deliver his child! I think that's very understandable. But when they realized they had totally different expectations.... he IS VERY MUCH the A-hole for simply wavung her and her feelings out of the way , and claiming (he's NOT an ob-gyn!) That the part where you are often very exhausted from hours of labor, yet have to summon the physical and emotional strength to finally push a baby out of a small, delicate opening in your body is "the easy part".... When his wife is begging for support and intimacy from her husband during one of the most e.ltiobal moments of their lives, AND one of the most exhausting, physically painful and vulnerable moment of her life.... He instead told her it's the easy part and suggests HIS MOM do the job for him instead?! Wow. IS the A-hole on that one, big time. That was not a very grown up response to a difference in hopes and plans.
Is he the asshole for wanting it? No, absolutely not. He IS the asshole for insisting after his wife shared her feelings about it. Yes, they're both becoming parents. But she is doing all the labor, all the hard work. His only job during this is to keep her as comfortable as possible and he's not willing to do that. And he has the audacity to call pushing a human out of your genitals the "easy part" to invalidate her feelings on the matter.
@@delaneykeller1389 Right?! The easy part is NOT the part where your genitals stretch to their utmost limit and may ✨rip✨ a lil bit. What about that is he easy part?!? What kills me is, he has never fathered a child before and he isn't even an ob/gyn. He most likely had to assist at one birth during his education ...that's it. He has no context beyond wanting it to be the time when sh should not need him so he can fulfill his dream (which again, I understand the dream, it's a good dream, NTAH on the dream itself...very much TAH for the dismissal, the medical gaslighting of your own spouse so your own dream can come first.)
