yep, totally agree! I love my jeep, but despise the dealership currently. Their idea of service is " if it makes THEM money first, then it is in your best interests." Better off to find an independent mechanic
👍🏿# 8! Fav commenter here. So much to take apart here. 1. If you can hear the noise when standing still (1:28) it's not the differential, transfer case fluid, or tires. 2. Does the rattle speed up or slow down when the Jeep speeds up or slows down? 3. Do you hear the noise all the time or just sometimes? 4. Is the A/C, heat, or defrost on when you hear it? 5. Does the noise speed up if you're standing still and revving the engine? 6. If you tires start cupping the Jeep will vibrate the faster you drive it. (Cupping happens when your suspension is worn out. The tire tread wears unevenly causing vibration as you go faster.) 7. Yes, dealers definitely over charge. They make more money fixing cars than they do selling them. 8. Go to the Jeep forums online to see if anyone else has heard this noise. (You'd be surprised at how many people may have the same issue). 9. Was it making this noise when you went to Jeep Beach? 10. Look at your warranty to see exactly what's covered before going to the dealer. Any issues that you have that are not covered (ex. tires) should be taken to an independent shop to save money. 11. When you're standing still, the only moving parts are the engine, the radiator fan (maybe there's something stuck in the fan), and the blower motor in the dash (if you have the A/C, defrost, or heat on)(there could be something stuck in there as well) 12. Well over the span of time the noises changed. I didn’t know if it was the same issue or not but maybe it could be different. Initially it was when I was standing still with the heat on in the winter. Currently the jeep is vibrating as I go faster. However if I’m going extremely fast I can’t hear it but I do when I’m going 45mph. So if it is cupping and the suspension then that means they should be liable for the suspension.
@@Pinkjeepkiki if you only hear it when you have the A/C, heat, or defrost on then it may be the blower motor in the dash (something may have gotten in there and it's interfering with it). (That's what it sounds like to me). If the tires are bad then you'll feel it even when going extremely fast. How many miles on the odometer? It seems too soon for you to be having suspension issues but I could be wrong.
@281crane9 the sound only comes from the back of the truck. Initially it was when the heat was on but now the noise is when driving. It’s almost 50k on the odometer now. Also, it seems the sound has increased over time. At first I would randomly hear sounds but now it’s constant and louder.
@@Pinkjeepkiki under 50k, unless you hit a really big pothole your suspension should be tight (and your tires should not be cupping or anything else). Is this noise that's getting louder the same noises as in the video? Are the roofs panels on tight? Do you hear the noise if you take the roof and panels off? (Trying to cover all the bases) (I don't want to interrogate you though lol)
At 1:21 sounds may be coming from a failing of your Leak Detector Pump. At 11:40 If there was just some way to install an AFO fireballs to tuck underneath and invest in a Zappify
Hmmm... Never heard a rear differential do that....or tires, roaring with mud tires yes... Rattling no.. The Aluminum heat shields on the jks always end up rattling but it does not sound like that.. hit up a jeep rally jeepers can assist...
This has now been fixed. My tires were unevenly worn. Also, the window may have been loose. Since they said they fixed both of those issues I haven’t had any problems.

I use to take my jeep to the dealership all the time. And I stopped. Definitely added myself to different jeep group on Facebook and found a few shops that specialize in 4x4 I was dealing with a death wobble 🤦🏽♀️ and the dealership just was going around in Circles but I finally got it fixed by a 4x4 shop. I know how frustrating it is but keep asking question and don’t settle. 0|||||||0 ✌🏾
Yes I definitely do not want to settle. It’s just hard when I paid for a warranty and also each time I go I pay an inspection fee. But i definitely will be going to the 4x4 shop for things the dealership overcharge for.

Quite a lot of time has passed, since you shared this information. It’s possible that you may be, quite, over this ordeal, by now. But, for future reference ; One solution, to such a dilemma, would be to file a, consumer, grievance with the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) and submit those service receipts and, documented, conversations with it : reportfraud.ftc.gov/ Furthermore; you could put all of them “ summa-ma-bi%&*s ” on blast w / the Better Business Bureau ( BBB ) and ripoffreport.com ( aka : the Bad Business Bureau ).
