One question for Darius (as a CPP sufferer myself): how were you taught to deal with severe pain coming on at bedtime and ruining your sleep, especially if it refused to let up through the night? I find it particularly frustrating unnerving and depressing. A good night's sleep is almost a prerequisite/precondition for being able to cope with chronic pain.

Chronic pelvic pain has destroyed my husbands life😩 I have been studying the muscles and nerves. I’m reading everything I can read in an attempt to help him. But I can’t get doctors or specialist to actually listen to me. I know it’s his muscles, superficial transverse perineal muscle and bulbospongiosus muscle. The nerves affected are posterior scrotal nerve and muscular branches of the perineal nerve. I believe he needs help with the muscles themselves so then the nerves will stop reacting to the muscles. But I can’t find him the correct person to help him so I don’t know what to do at this point. He is getting nerve blocks which help him with going to the bathroom but the pain always comes back. I feel so lost as to helping him and my heart breaks for the men going through this😢

Read a book called a headache in the pelvis by dr wise. If it his muscles then he has to learn to relax and lengthen them. Reverse kegels, hot baths, CBD oil, benzodiazepines, less sexual activity, less strenuous exercise, less pushing on the toilet (fibre pills), reducing stress and anxiety through meditation. He needs to learn to breathe into his Diaphragm and take control of his fight and flight response. His pelvic floor muscles are tightening automatically causing pain. He needs to teach his body to relax again. Paradoxical relaxation is perfect. I’m 28 and have had Cpps since 14 due to anxiety. I would clench my pelvic muscles and never release them until they were tight enough to push on nerves and build up lactic acid etc. Of he does those things he will feel better. It’s not curable only treatable. Even the men who cure it do say there are flare ups and it does come back, just next time it’s treatable.

ALL THESE PELVIC PAIN VIDEOS IVE SEEN JUST INFORMS THE SYMPTOMS THAT WE KNOW, ALSO THAT WE CANT CURE IT. WE KNOW IT ALREADY. THEY NEVER GIVE DETAILS FOR THE EXERCISES. ONLY ADVERTISE TO CONTACT THEM FOR TREATMENT. IF YOU WOULD GET BETTER, IT'S BECAUSE OF HIM. IF NOT THEN CPPS IS NOT CURABLE, YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT??
@pelvicpainmatters-beatingp1648
@pelvicpainmatters-beatingp1648 2 месяца назад
Thanks for your comments. You are spot on, there is NO CURE for this condition. A cure suggests one approach that works for every patient and that is not the case. I sincerely wish it was as you and I wouldn't have suffered with this condition. Understanding each case is central to being able to unlock it. There are common factors across the world that help each man - reducing the things that contribute to flare ups. Leading a balanced life with good nutritious food and plenty of rest. Moving, in a safe, gentle way that doesn't provoke sensitivity from over doing it. These are universal trends I have seen over the past 16 years of treating this condition.

Thank you for your comments and feedback. i am sorry you feel this way. It is a very complex condition and there is no "cure" that fixes all, but it can most definitely be managed and successfully overcome. It is not an easy journey and it can be an immense struggle at times. I know, I have been there!
