I am so glad you stopped drinking. It's a money hole, and it is in essence a depressant. It's fine if you have a few drinks every now and then but it can get out of hand if you don't drink responsibly. Alchohol for me just makes me sleepy and makes me want to pee. That's all it really does for me. Plus I am weird and crazy enough as it is sober. Plus my Dad does not hold his liquor well and is an obnoxious ass drunk. And I don't want to do that. Also I do believe that if you need to drink to have fun? Then you don't really know how to have fun if you ask me. Also Alcohol can really exasperate psychological problems. So it's good on you that you stopped drinking when you saw the effect it was having on you. Anyway, nice job with the video and I hope you are feeling better now.
thanks mike.. yeah everything you said was spot on.. It definitely lost it's luster .. the thrill is gone with drinking all the time. Glad I finally got over that shit
Hearing you talk is like listening to myself. I was overweight in school and bullied because of it and I was so quiet and introverted. When I started drinking age late 17 I was lake a completely different person, a friend of mine who only knew me from the clubs refer to me as a party animal. I would get drunk every single opportunity I got. In some of your recent videos I noticed you make a reference to filming while being drunk etc. I hope you have not fallen back into your old ways. I assure you, you are just as funny and charismatic sober.
I think most people are the same when it comes to drinking. You have a drink and you're going to want another. Fllowed by another. I am like that but the thing is, I have to drink in order to want to drink so I generally never Drink.
When I was pregnant and couldn't drink alcohol you'd be surprised how many people would try to convince me that one or two drinks wont hurt the baby. And so many people couldn't believe I wasn't drinking. WTF. The pressure to drink in our society is overwhelming and everyone HAS to know how you can not drink alcohol. They HAVE to know why, like you absolutely have to have a good excuse. It's ridiculous.
Kind of off topic, but not, you said it helps to quit drinking when you suffer anxiety. I have not had alcohol in over a year, mostly just because I don't want to lol. I have had anxiety since I got sick, and even after the surgery I still have some left over anxieties. Now my question, did you notice any difference when you quit smoking cigarettes? I still smoke, not as much, but I do, and I wonder if that is making things worse.
nicotine is a stimulant and it raises your heart rate and all kinds of other shit. I remember when i used to smoke cigarettes it made my anxiety worse.. Even smoking this e-cigarette sometimes makes it worse. You really should quit by any means necessary it's the worst habit above anything else if i had to pick
now-a-days I've finally struck a healthy balance. I drink maybe 1 or 2 times a week and when I do drink I don't get drunk. I can't drink like I used to and when I drink too much now it really effects my anxiety\mental health. At the same time though it's fun to have a couple drinks here and there.. I can't believe how big of a part of my life it used to be.
