Wow, what a beautiful looking Mays card and so cool that you purchased it on the day he passed. I had never seen that Jackie Robinson card before. Love the 51 Charlie Dressen card too. Every time I see that 1951 Topps Monte Irvin card I see the face of Bo Jackson. I think they look similar like the image on Bo’s 1986 Topps Update card. Thanks for sharing Dan even though you have hobby burnout. I am in the same boat. I have not been inspired to acquire too many cards. I hope that the National will inspire me.
Thank you Ken! It’s been tough lately with the hobby burnout; I haven’t been interested in watching videos, making videos or buying too many cards. Hopefully it’ll pass soon. I’m not going to the National this year. I just purchased my “National” card that I’ll be showing on the 4th.
Straight up FIRE, Dan! That Nays is just a gorgeous copy, a card that anyone would be proud to own in their collection. Huge congrats on that and the Lionel Carter ‘51 Irvin! Thanks Hugo! It’s the direction I wanted my collection to go in. I want quality over quantity. I want cards that I truly love and turn them into investments for the future if I or my family ever needs to sell them.
