Hi My Name Is Dan and I’m a Cardaholic. I Collect Baseball Cards ranging from the late 1800s to present day, and I collect Non-Sport Cards of various subjects such as military related cards. I Served in the Army For Over 20 Years and I Had an Uncle Who Played Major League Baseball. Welcome To Ol’ Sarge Collects!
those are sick....hobby lobby have great quick frames of all sizes at decent prices. You can get a frame to display one individually or go big and display 3 per frame (not sure on the cards dimensions). But if you just want to store them, they make top loaders big enough for those making it easy to stack and store away.
Great video and cards Mr Ol'SargeCollects. Maybe the people who put out Funko Pops box protectors might have something you can use to display them. Have a good Friday and Weekend coming up and ✌️ Mr Ol'SargeCollects.
Really cool & unique set. So colorful. Hard to imagine cards that old & in such great condition, beautiful. Thanks for sharing these Dan. Have a great weekend my friend.
Awesome trade cards once again, Dan! Saw your comment on Graig's channel also, I'm digging your gameplan there. Should be sweet to see the pickups and progress. Looking forward to it buddy!
These are just so cool, Dan! Amazing to think what would happen in the years following this set’s release. I learned a lot watching this video. I love this idea for a series, can’t wait for the next one! 👊🇺🇸
Hi Dan, you know I enjoyed this video. Lovely cards. I believe I have 4 of the 9, defiantly want to finish the set. OK, here is a stupid question. I have never sent out a card to be slabbed. Because they look so nice in a tuxedo, I’m thinking of sending mine out. What did SCG charge you to slab these?
Congrats on completion! Such a wonderful set! Is that variation documented, and does PSA or SGC recognize it? Which do you consider the standard color? I feel like I’ve seen the purplish color example more often than the red. Let me know your thoughts!
Excellent work on a unique and colorful baseball card set! The last first baseman card was the one I really loved and the advertising is amazing! Thank you for sharing this set.
Very cool cards that depict baseball in the late 1800's. It's crazy how the catcher didn't use gloves. 😂 You have the world's first baseball parallel shortstop card!
Awesome cards Mr Ol'SargeCollects and a great video. I have never seen these cards before, but they are awesome looking cards. Have a good Wednesday to you and ✌️ Mr Ol'SargeCollects.
I love this set. Have had my eye on them but haven't picked any up. It is surreal and interesting to see the (future) Axis powers presented from a neutral perspective. I know there's at least one image from a memorial service for victims of the Hindenburg disaster and it shows American and German (swastika) flags displayed side by side. The image of the Hindenburg itself adorned with swastikas flying over Manhattan is equally eerie.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed the set. You hit on something I truly love about these old military sets. Having served myself; through these cards I can see how they served. I find that in some cases things haven’t changed much, while in others I find interesting how much things have changed for service members. We’ve come a long way!
Beautiful set. Just 2 years after these cards came out the whole world would be turned upside down. Foreshadowing that the 2 German cards did not show the swastika.
Bam! Some tremendous pickups, Dan. Congrats on the Willie pickup. And the Monte Irvin is a beauty. Monte was so instrumental in Willie's early career. Thanks for showing us some real classics.
The non-sports you find are always such a pleasure to see! Such a cool collection, Dan , I feel like SGC will put a number on those next time. Happy 4th and God Bless!
That is a beautiful card Dan. I think Doug (DKahn) might have shown a copy as well. That is also a card I would chase. Little Rhody is the nickname of Rhode Island where I’m from and I believe Shane lives now. Congratulations on the card and hope you had a great 4th of July.
Hey my friend, I hope you and the family had a great Independence Day too! Keep hunting the good stuff and you’ll find one of those America cards one day. It took me a long time to find mine.
All of these are fantastic and super appropriate choices for today. That finale though…🤯 Huge congrats on the new addition Dan, and happy Independence Day! 👊🇺🇸
