So going off her theories, I do have some alternate thoughts to help with Leigh’s theory: 1. Sora in KH1 broke the rules on how to come back as yourself. Kairi resurrects Sora through her compassion for the friend she REMEMBERS and thus creates him. We could assume the real heart of Sora fell into the Fictional World, binding to Yozora. Much like how Ventus found Sora. 2. Notice how in the Toy Story world, all the toys see Sora as Yozora? That could be further confirmation that Yozora is the Sora of that universe.
That would be such a heartbreaking twist if our Sora was just the persisting memory of a connection the real Sora made with Kairi. Suddenly our Sora would know just how Roxas feels to not be his own person. How would that change his character knowing that his existence has to fade into another’s like so many had to for him? It’s almost too sad to attempt.
“I’ve been having these weird thoughts lately. Like, is any of this for real, or not?” Just hearing Yozora call back to the very first line you ever hear in kingdom hearts was just an insane and perfect way to close off the first saga.
57:18 Fun fact, this is almost shot-for-shot the same as the teaser for Versus XIII. Just in case there was any doubt left that Nomura's still salty about getting pulled off that project, and Yozora is just him doing it anyway.
That theorizing near the end there is top notch! I never considered that before. I always assumed Yozora said that this wasn’t what he looked like because the man we see in the game is a false form, but maybe what we see is actually his true form, Yozora just expects him to see the altered form he’s had for a while now.
Yeah like man, all this stuff usually goes over my head but I'm so convinced now. I think the line that seals that particular part for me is when he's like "How'd you recognize me as Yozora?" It really implies that Sora is seeing him as he should be because of their connection. And Yozora literally meaning "night sky" to Sora's "sky" really makes it feel his dual heart situation really really lines up and with the xBlade thing and whoooooo boy. Plus the idea that Sora is memory boy like Xion was and Yozora destroys him to return him to his realboy™ form ACTUALLY MAKES SO MUCH SENSE I'M DYING because I went back and watched Xion's death and sure enough she crystalizes into ice JUST LIKE SORA when Yozora defeats him. Now I'm left wondering if this would mean he was memory this ENTIRE time or just like that version of him in quadratum. I'm not entirely sold on the MoM part because it's a bit of a leap without evidence but it kinda makes sense and I've been saying Sora is MoM for years now and I want it to be true because I find it so funny. Also inb4 end of KH4 and MoM unhoods himself revealing a photorealistic 3D caricature of Nomura. It would not surprise me in the least if MoM is a zany cryptic secretive self insert of Nomura, and also Sora was part of MoM the whole time, but that might be a bit much. You never know... My brain is melting please send help

First time i ever faced yozora it was on critical mode, and oh boy did i die over and over It took me two weeks to beat him lol, if i did it on critical so can you 😎
He's definitely the toughest challenge in the series imo. He isn't impossible though! c: Just stick with it and you'll definitely beat him. It took me almost 200 tries on Critical mode, but I got it done and i'm trash at the game lol. I'm sure you can do it too.
Don't be. He can be quite intimidating yes but he's like Sans. The more you die to him the more you learn how to deal with him. He has to beat you all the time but you only need to beat him once. Each death is a learning opportunity and soon you'll find yourself chipping away from him bit by bit, learning his moves, when to dodge, when to counter. And if push comes to shove there are videos online that break down each and every one of him moves and teaches you how to counter all of them, yes even his Desparation Move is easy to deal with once you learn how to as he doesn't deviate much from how the move goes.
I LOVE the small detail of ending up stunned after having to deflect all of Xemnas’ lasers solo this time around, showing Sora is indeed capable but still symbolising the impact & strength of when he and Riku fight together. 😭💛
So fun fact Sora means sky Yozora means night sky And Noctis Caelum means night sky Also verum rex means true king as in he has to "reclaim his throne"
I gotta say, of all the Yozora theories I've heard, I like this one the best. It sounds legit enough that it should be true. Whether or not it is, or they try to pull a rope-a-dope on us all going forward remains to be seen. But I found you're deductive reasoning to be sound. I wouldn't have taken so much time to think about it. At this point the KH crew seem to enjoy the ever present and continued frustration and confusion of their audience, so I don't bother trying until they explain themselves. But THIS was an excellent theory worth consideration. Well done!
I remember stumbling upon your first video in this journey and getting so hooked on them that it both revitalized my KH fandom and needing to watch as many KH journey videos on RU-vid as I can find. And let me tell you yours are the best to watch both because of your fun commentary and great editing. Thank you for all the fun videos

not gonna lie I've been waiting for this video to come out, makes me happy to see you play kingdom hearts knowing that I can see new players experiencing the game the same way I did when I was younger.

I think your theories about Yozora being both V13 Noctis and Sora matches up. If you look at the KH3 Secret Ending when it shows Sora and Riku in the city, it shows lights of blue and red (like Yozora's eyes), and when Sora gets up he's standing between those lights. Possibly hinting about Sora being mixed into Yozora. Meanwhile Riku, when he gets up, is only in blue lights, no red lights around at all. Would could possibly be telling us about how Sora is from the world of pure light (same as Riku's) while Noctis's was the world of Darkness, combining Sora and Noctis into the perfect form of light & darkness to make Yozora. Which might also explain how he is able to steal the power of Sora's keyblade and use it against him, because it is Sora's power. I have my own theory as well, but I won't go into it here, it's all over the place really. lol
FINALLY! Loved this video a lot its like the perfect ending for the journey. Also i am glad we have the same opinion on the Xion battle it was literally the saddest but at the same time most beautiful battle of all the 13 data battles
Now that, at least everyone solely watching the RU-vid videos are caught up with your progress, I would like to mention that MoM talked to Xehanort about letting a "false light" lead. Sora uses light, but was reborn from being a heartless, thanks to Kairi's "mysterious light," and has his anti/rage form. Another thing to notice is how Sora's anti form in KH2 doesn't use a keyblade, but his KH3 rage form does - possibly showing his darkness become stronger. The heartless are known to follow the keyblade of light, which Sora wields. Meaning Sora is also technically leading the darkness. I would suggest more, but the remainder of Union χ comes first; though I just want say that I theorize that we've already met Yozora before.
@@CaptainCJ97 It's because you have to beat the game and then grind to get to that content. Souls games are difficult start to finish, KHs main campaigns tend to be a breeze. Not that either is better or worse, just that they both handle where their difficulty is differently.
Leigh is like the genius of hard work with video games. Even if she doesn't show like EVO champ level technical skill, these compilations are just demonstrations of relentless trying with like virtually no fatigue showing on her face. She's like Rock L- SHE'S LIKE *ROCK LEIGH*

I gotta say, I've heard many theories about Yozora, but I've never heard one like yours before. The scary thing is that it's the exact kind of thing Nomura would pull to fuck with our minds.
I know right? If you get good at using Rage Form + Riskcharge, you can deal some insane damage even to these superbosses but I only ever see people use Rage Form for the full heal and then just spam Riskcharge to get out of it.
Watching these videos has so far been a real treat. As a fan, watching your reactions to things and gleaning the lore from them, quite accurately I might add, and seeing your emotional responses is actually super entertaining and makes me proud.

Something I absolutely love about limitcut, is that it gave me time to see all the cool little animations each character has. Marluxia moves so gracefully, and Dark Riku does a funny stumble/twirl when you block him and knock him off, like everyone has personality in their movements. The battle theme mixes are also so cool, I especially love Saix's metal version of 13th Struggle, it really fits his whole berserk thing :D Luxord's 13th Struggle also fits him so well, it sounds really elegant and not as intense as the other battles, after all, it's a game between two gentelmen, not a battle of raw strength! For me, Vanitas and Xion were the hardest fights, Vanitas' DM is scary 😭
This masterpiece of a video is straight out of the early 2000s and I absolutely love it!! Sick AMVs if KH characters to some DMC music with some cameos from FF characters is peak AWESOMENESS. Hell, throw in the Versus XIII tease and theorising and it's pretty much 2006 all over again 😭😭 (flashback to me putting vs13 on my must-buy list of PS333333 games 😖😢) The only way to improve on this was to use Linkin Park In the End and Numb/Encore for the fight sequences and end it with some Evanescence 😂 Honestly well done Leigh on yet another amazing vid. The blood, sweat and tears are evident but as always go easy on yourself 😄 Looking fwd to the next masterpiece.
I was holding my breath hoping you didn't have a Kupo Coin during the Yozora fight lmao. Can't imagine how done you'd've been if you finally got him to 0HP and he revived himself.
These fights were all designed SO damn well. I loved the way they turned Xemnas’ laser dome from a QTE into a live gameplay element. ReMind w/ LimitCut & the Secret Episode is my favourite entry to any KH title. 💛
Congrats on finishing all the data battle of KH3 i personally got stuck at xion/xehanort and kind of gave up. Love to see you never give up and getting that W all the way through yozora.
I love the different reactions when beating the bosses. Most of them you just gasp and start laughing, luxord you were DONE with and xion was just... sad(Which is reasonable). edit: And then Yozora is just pure disbelief lol
Words cannot express how glad I am that you've put all these KH videos together. The editing is insanely impressive with how kinetic and consistent it always is through such a long run time. Always choosing the best moments and putting together the perfect supercut. Even down to the slow zooms on intense moments and the bouncy motions paired to exasperated sighs. And of course one of these wouldn't be complete without some variation of "I feel like I'm gonna throw up." in there. I know this wasn't easy to do, especially the struggle of editing through what must easily be over 1000 attempts spread though all the bosses. And we know you didn't just skim it all because those battle quote supercuts are so amazing. But I'm so like genuinely proud you stuck through all of that to actually beat all of the bosses and do it all legit. I think I spent like 25 tries beating Larxene and afterwards just being like "I don't think this is for me". And seeing so many different outfit changes indicating just how many tries it took... So while I'm bewildered you bothered to do it, it's really something special and I'm sure felt very rewarding at the time which was definitely a downside for me playing Re:Mind since I beat the standard stuff and didn't much care for the bosses, it felt a bit underwhelming. But I always appreciated that for the people who are into these challenge bosses that they are some really good fights. Even more, now I'm convinced of some pretty insane eye opening theories about Yozora that I never put much thought into before. Though I'm not so sure about Sora being 40... But above all that, I'm most appreciative of just how wholesome this whole journey has been. I was already hugely into KH, but something about being able to relive that experience again from start to finish vicariously like it was the first time through someone who is just so enraptured by it all is just, something else. I feel like I care for these characters even more than I did before, and their musical themes stand out more because you always point it out. I love that you don't care about how dumb and faulty the story is, but just adore it for what it is. I've always felt like it and the characters were always more than the sum of their parts. Like you project your own stuff onto it. It's honestly a bit baffling to me how anyone can be this into the games, especially WITHOUT even having grown up with them like I did. But I'm so glad you do, and I can't wait to watch any and all future parts of this series 💙 I'm so glad I clicked that thumbnail when it showed up in my feed and I was like "Why is some random KH3 playthrough being recommended to me like 3 years after release?" I felt there must be something special about it to be recommended like that when I don't even really watch KH content, and boy howdy was there ever. God bless the algorithm 😌 P.S. So what you're saying is... if you want to harness your true power, you need to fight accompanied by Devil May Cry music. I think this is what this video's truly trying to teach everyone. Man, these battles look like so much fun, but I'm waiting for the KH games to drop in price on PC before I buy 'em all (again). Between hearing how the ports aren't great and them being on the EPIC Games Store at full price since they released, I haven't gotten around to playing these myself. And since I got spoiled on the story stuff already anyway, I figured watching your journey of this would be a good idea, as I watched all the others and quite frankly just enjoy how you experience games. Funny enough I found this channel through the DMC5 journey video, so I feel like it all went full circle lol
What's crazy about KHIII re:Mind is that Sora's character model for the battle with Yozora and in the nighttime Final World is a SEPARATE model to the Sora in the rest of KHIII. His model is specifically paler, the lips are grayer with a little "bruising" around them, his eyes aren't as vivid, his hair isn't as vivid- it's as is he's lost color and is colder... remember what the Final World is? It's practically an afterlife for when you die, and Sora has been to it many times in all the times he's "died" in all of the games in his journey. In the first stage after death, your lips go pale and even slightly blue along with the rest of your skin, your eyes lose their shine and vibrance, and you become cold. Basically, Sora's a walking ZOMBIE in the re:Mind DLC fight with Yozora.
I didn't even know this was part of the game! This was so fun and great to watch! Very excited for UX when ya do that one and for when KH4 comes into existence! :)
Absolute props to looking at these fights, giving them attempts, and then dedicating yourself to completing all of them! I haven't played these yet, and sometimes I fear if I do, I'll never end up beating them. But seeing other people going through and learning their patterns and coming out saying, "yeah, these bosses are absolutely amazing" gives me hope that if I play KH3 someday, I'll be able to complete these fights too, especially Yozora. Watching this journey as been an absolute blast. The connections you make and the thoughts you have really resonate with the characters, and it seems like you really enjoyed the adventure along the way.

I’ve been watching you play through every KH game and it’s been so nostalgic seeing someone coming into the game without prior knowledge and seeing a genuine reaction. Reminds me of when I started playing the games back in 2008 I grew up with this franchise and it’s been amazing and I’ve gotten so connected to the characters. I never got around to beating old Xehanort or Yozora cause I got married and life has been busy but I gotta go back and make sure I finish the DLC or just replay every game again just for old times sake. Love the content thank you for it and keep up the great videos and enthusiasm

Also, can you believe that Yozora is DYLAN SPROUSE? Versus XIII meant a lot to me when I was younger too, the entire Fabula trilogy was a big part of my youth, XIII specifically, but Agito and Versus were supposed to also be in my heart alongside XIII and they didn't get what they deserved. I know Agito ended up becoming Type-0 and Versus became XV, but the Fabula trilogy was supposed to be THE thing, all together. We can really see how much that project meant to Nomura, and he's finally getting to have some kind of catharsis by putting him ideas from Versus into KH now. We all dig on Nomura for the meme, but he's an intelligent and clever and imagnative man who deserves to put his ideas forth.
