Amen, Brother! I am not a long range operator either. I think Marty has steel feet, in order to cover the ground he covers. You have definitely trekked beyond the call of duty for your subscribers, and that’s commendable. In fact, I have followed your channel for quite some time. The S-18 coverage is by far your best work. You addressed all of my concerns. I am just waiting for a final comparison with the V11. Many Thanks

Duf, can you tell me how your size 13 foot fits on this wheel? Do your ankle bones hit the pads as they were intended or to use the Kuji pads is it strictly for smaller feet. Just curious. Are you still happy staying with the V11 or has this demo swayed you. I have a preorder in on a V11 and trying to make sure I pick the right one. Thanks

Heyyoooo, Duf-Man, great way to push through and get it done bro... OOOORAHH!! I appreciate you getting this range test in. I was highly disappointed with the initial reviews/findings from Ian but your range test more closely fits my riding style. To be fair Ian said he was taxing the hell outta that wheel. If I can get a solid 40-50 miles out of this wheel per charge with my riding style (which is basically sub 20mph, easy cruising, talking to chics and jamming to some tunes) then I may put this wheel back into consideration.
@Duf

Yea if you stay sub-20 I think 40+ is reasonable.

You got my thumbs up. This was a really good test, and I'm so impress with the result to. I also heard in the video that you were going to take your Monster seat for another wheel, and you're going to sell the Monster?! I would love to buy it out of your hands. The problem is that no matter how much you ask for the price, and it's going to be sold way low than a new one that with the situation I'm in I can't even buy it from you. It's a freaking shame on my side. I can't wait to see you review the other EUC that has suspension to.

The weird things is in Kuji's early videos you can generally see the shock jumping around more like you showed one the way back but in the swap ride it seemed to barely move. But in your jumping you see it more in the wheel springing back into place after you leave the ramp. I wonder if due to how much air you had in the suspension that it didn't really pop out.

That's a long distance, my feet would've died too. Question: have you ever fallen with such a knee protection? By looking at the description of the pads, it seems they're designed to be comfortable at sitting on the knees. But what about riding and falling, how safe are they? I'm asking because I want to find the pads which are easy to put on and off, and at the same time provide some level of protection.
@Duf
@Duf 4 года назад
Yes, I face planted going 16-17mph on one of my skateboards. The kneed pads took the impact and left my knees untouched.
@Creepermoss
@Creepermoss 4 года назад
You might look into kneepads meant for motorcycling. I bought a pair from Icon, they were $65, they're designed to protect you at higher speeds, and they're comfortable.

edit - whoops, thought I posted that in main page. Incidentally, I have leatt knee/shin protection. Love them. Once you get them fit, you use the clips to put them on and off...takes no time. Hard to explain but you fit them with Velcro straps but you only have to do that once (or every so often)

I think a more realistic range test would have been 25 MPH until you reached 10% or less. most people do not ride their EUC's that are capable of 31 MPH at a constant 18-20 MPH. Just my opinion.
@Duf
@Duf 4 года назад
Those were the parameters I chose for my test. In the past range tests I did not really pay attention to speed at all which is far easier and faster to execute but doesn't give comparable results between different wheels if there are no constants.

Hi. I think the purpouse of a "range test" is to ride until the battery is dead... You could say at begining that you would give up after only 55 km ride. Now people can only guess that S18 max range would be like... 70km?
@Duf
@Duf 4 года назад
I agree if that is logistically feasible it is best. However you can project pretty accurate range based on this as well. The last 5-10% is normally so miserable most people won't want to ride anyway.

Sounds complicated
@edgarkazak5228
@edgarkazak5228 4 года назад
@@Duf nothing complicated. I weigh almost 100kg. I'll get 15kg backpack and wear equipment which will make it to 120 kg max load limit. Then I'll choose straight long lane, let's say 5 km and ride towards and backwards reaching and trying to keep the speed around 47-50kmh while riding. This will be our max load/max speen and max range performance. Then 10 kg off is approx + 2.5-3.5km range, 10kmh is approx +5-7km range(grows exponentially 2x each 10kmh after 20kmh average speed). That means if max performance gives you 50km range and instead you weigh 80kg and your average speed is 40kmh it will give you +4×2.5/3.5km range(10km-14km) weight bonus and +14km more range speed bonus =70-75km range total
