Apartment tour of my new place! A sudden job opportunity required me to quickly move across the country. I only had 2 days of house hunting before deciding on this place. Due to a high stress environment and only a week to figure everything out, we ended up in our new home. Here was my initial reaction seeing it for the first time. The previous tenants were living here, so we were unaware of the insanely horrible condition that this place was in.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! We have cleaned the place and have a couple of dehumidifiers running along with some air purifiers, it's going well now I think, but we're keeping an eye on it carefully! Have a wonderful day!

You should invest in some ozone machines. At least one. Then you can put it in a room and close the door. Also get a dehumidifier for every room.

Sorry about this mold nightmare, but Congrats on the new job! Wow, such a bitter sweet situation. Don't beat yourself up about the situation. Yall were in a tight spot but seized an opportunity! On the bright side once you get the mold treated, you will have a spacious place! Good luck with the new opportunity!

There's no way you could've missed all those issues. If the previous tenant was still living there, then how did you not see how much of a slob they were? Also, how are you not wearing a mask in there?? You put yourself in this situation from what I see. Good luck.

absolutely untrue. 1. tenants can LOOK tidy but be poor at addressing mold (especially since Korea is extremely humid) 2. How do you see the mold if it's covered by furniture? The place probably looked a bit dingy but ok when someone was living there but you don't notice the severity of things until after you move in its fairly common occurance 3. If you were in a rush to move within days I'm sure your mind is occupied by a million things already so you probably don't have the time to scrutinize everything

@@lynguini Any kind of humidity, stench or sticky floors would be almost impossible to completely cover up, especially by lazy slobs. Corners and crevices should always be inspected when doing due diligence. These are red flags that should have been easily caught. Stop making excuses for stupidity.

I can accept this comment, if It were me watching someone else's video I may have thought the same. Even watching my own video when I saw the footage and when I toured the empty house I wondered how could 3 of us couldn't have seen anything. As for not wearing a mask, at the time of filming this I had been living in a tiny hotel for 2 weeks and had come to the house late after working all day. I didn't have one and was not expecting to be greeted with all the mold, like I said in the video, people had been living here prior. None of this is meant to be an excuse, just an explanation.

@lynguini thank you so much for your comment. You're actually 100% correct about everything. We were stressed, on an insane timeline among other things. The people living here had hid EVERYTHING...there was no mold smell because when you enter the house, each home smells a bit different based on who is living there. They didn't seem like slobs because we knew they were also getting ready to move out. We also toured the place with our realtor (who was absolutely amazing) and she also didn't notice anything. She helped a lot after the tenants moved out and everyone was appalled at the state of the apartment. The apartment owners were very apologetic. This was a new apartment when they bought it only several years ago. Thank you again, I really appreciate it!
