Fun fact:Solitaire was my favorite Windows XP game when I was just 3 years old(but I still didn't know how to put a red card over a black card after 10 miserable tries)

Most of my pc’s are running 7. Mostly because the programs that I have to run works best on 7. The rest are running xp, 10, mac El Capitan and of course many different builds of Linux. I only have 1 with 10 on it. I prefer windows 7 for my personal taste. And mobile stuff for daily use for the best phones made are the iPhones. Androids are great and I love them but they arnt as user friendly as an iPhone. I try to stay proficient in every OS that’s out. Virtual machines are the best thing ever invented. Also my main laptop I use for BMW diagnostics and programming I have XP, 7, and 98 in a multi boot setup on it and with a 1 terabyte hd. Reason for the older os is for the BMWS factory programs. Bmw has them so they only work correctly on a certain IBM laptop. I forgot the model but I can easily find out. On other machines you have to change stuff in the directories and there is a tone of write ups you can follow to get it working. Plus all the important stuff you need to know is in German and as luck would have it I had a great friend who has passed away unfortunately. He spoke German along with about 7 other languages. He helped me a lot settling it up. I was doing this 15 years ago so there wasn’t any smartphone translation apps and only 1 write up on the process. I couldn’t have completed it without access to a factory setup. I needed the correct baud rates for the serial port so the computer could talk to the cars. Luckily I have a great relationship with my closet BMW dealer and they let me check out their MODIC. I forget the meaning of that acronym. But they were great. The parts guy would give me last months parts catalog for every bmw made. Shows everything for each car down to each bolt it takes. Gives you the quantities and you can lookup what it interchanges with. It is one of the best resources for BMWs that exists. I have been working on BMWs since 1992.
