I created a life size bison out of recycled tires, stainless steel and foam. This sculpture will be displayed at the Henry Vilas Zoo located in Madison Wisconsin. Go check it out if you are there!

@@BMSculptures the eye sockets must have been nerve-wracking. No real going back if you removed too much foam. Adding to a sculpture always seems an easier option to me than removing, as in stone/wood carving Beautiful and very different end result for this bison 🦬 useing the rubber tyres. Congratulations, it was definitely worth the effort put in, in my eyes.

The key to longevity on RU-vid (may not be true for craftsmanship work like sculpting outside of YT) is to keep expanding and branching out into new avenues of content-making slowly over time, so in my eyes, the more types of stuff you make, the merrier! :)

Definitely the whole process. It's fascinating to see how it progresses through each step starting with a sketch or picture and slowly evolving into the final extremely realistic creature. The ability to see the potential of a found object turning into something completely different is a talent that only some people can do. For me, I have to sometimes play with a medium or object and let it speak to me and sometimes it is a complete surprise when the different pieces fall into place and suddenly take on the shape that was in my head especially when I couldn't get the sketch to look like what I wanted to create.
