My Last Video Destroyed My Channel... So, I'm Moving On. 

I must say....as a Zambian Catholic, I feel that y'all from the States really sweat the small stuff😅😅 But I'm happy you have processed this experience the way you have.

I saw an interview that Fr. Mike Schmitz did with David Henrie and David said this line that really resonated with me and I think relates to your video: "As a child of God, my worth does not come from my accomplishments or peoples' opinions of me"

If wearing a veil is peoples litmus test of whether a woman is a good Catholic, then people need to take a step back and read their catechism and Bible.

The veil of purity and love of your heart is far more important to Jesus 🌷🦋🌿🕊️

I used to veil & I don’t any more. I have 8 kids & after many decades of feeling like an odd ball at the Novus Ordo, we discovered the Latin Mass. I started veiling things went well & then we moved to Florida during the COVID fiasco. The NO & TLM communities share a church with the FSSP coming in to do TLM each week. They are totally separate & don’t really get along. I was starting to get a very snobby TLM attitude. My son was a seminarian & they were forbidden to learn TLM. He got skin cancer (he’s fine now). All he wanted was for us to go to Mass with him. God really used this to humble me. I also started seeing some real nastiness in TLM community. I still hate some of the things I perceive as abuses in the NO church, but I needed to be humbled and start looking at my heart & how I treated others rather than the externals of veiling or not. I got all kinds of grief because I don’t wear dresses 24/7. I just can’t be dishonest. That’s not who I am and not who I want to be. God bless you, sweetheart! I love who you are. I love that you have workout videos. Keep working to please Our Lord.

I veil but I didn't hate on you over veiling. Please don't give up because your voice is needed. Remember, we don't do this for worldly validations but we still must hold true. John 15:18 “If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.

Roxy, hi I'm a Catholic revert. When I came back to the faith, I want it to be perfect and I fell for the trad scene and became very judgemental against others not following that. Instead of becoming closer to God, I felt I had become more judgmental and hateful towards those and are same faith. I fasted for a week and pray to the Holy Spirit, and I really feel he redirected me. Now I enjoy all forms of the mass and don't try to push strict guidelines on anyone for judge them for how they practice. I have become more loving and feel closer to God now. Thank you for sharing

I did comment on your video about veiling and argued about the social importance of outwardly signs such as veiling, considering how they have been instrumental, to some extent, in my conversion. I don't suppose you remember it specifically but I just meant to apologize if it is one of the comments that you'd call "aweful". I did not mean to question your individual decision or most of your reasoning, but I am sorry if it ever felt that way at the time. Today I mean to thank you for all your great work. Your sharing your personal experience and thoughts has really been inspiring to me, especially as a woman, and helped me grow in faith. Thank you ! 🙏❤

Sorry you got unjustly judged by the Chapel veil police. The Church doesn’t require it anymore, hence it’s now a personal decision. As such, I don’t think that veiling is the first thing that Jesus requires. True charity is how we will be judged for heaven. (I happen to wear a veil for mass but my sisters and friends do not) Keep up the true search for holiness ❤️‍🔥🙏🏻

Don't be so tough on yourself. Veiling is difficult. Last Sunday, I decided to veil for my Lord and I was happy to please him. When I got home and looked in the mirror, I wasn't so sure. My hair looked like a chicken's nest!

I’ve struggled with the idea of veiling for a while but after listening to your video on veiling I understand my decision to not veil and I don’t feel bad for it anymore.

Have you heard of sister Wilhelmina Lancaster a beautiful and holy incorrupt black nun?! She died in 2019 in Gower, Missouri at her monastery there, and was found to be in corrupt Four years later knowing her story, I wish I looked a lot more like her spiritually and physically just beautiful!

I love your channel because you're so normal and real. You're not trying to have a label, you're just practicing as a Catholic whatever and no matter how that looks with ups and downs. Crikey , I don't even believe in God this week but I'm still practicing because where else do I go??? ......and.....I know He does exist.....I just don't believe in Him this week.....if that makes sense. And I find you are also honest about your ups and downs. Who cares if you don't veil?

I have to think aiming to have a successful RU-vid channel is probably the worst way to go about cultivating humility. It's a dangerous game for ALL influencers trying to remain spiritually at peace, even the ones who want to distance themselves or distinguish themselves from the "bad sort" of Catholic influencer, and the "bad sort" of subscriber. My prayers in your vocational discernment. As I pray for all Catholic RU-vidrs, hopefully it takes you away from the temptations here.

Everyone can choose what’s best for them and their spiritual journey. I also understand your message. Humility has to be internal and not just an external symbol with a veil. We must transform what’s inside. That’s most important.

I just can't believe people acting this way. I started folliwing you because I was so excited to see a black Catholic woman on social media! There's not that many of us percentage wise in the US. But I admire the strength of character you have to be honest about what you're going through. Saints have their trials and you are certainly going through it. I love how fervent you are in your faith. It took a lot of guts to start veiling and a lot of guts to stop. I go back and forth with veiling and still do it because I still feel more connected and it reminds me to be humble, or try to to the best of my ability. But that is me. Everyone is different and veils for different reasons. I will pray for you on your new journey. I am excited for you.

Being a cradle Catholic, who fell away for decades, then came back, I can relate in some ways. I myself was never "trad," nor is anyone I have ever known in real life. So I won't criticize you at all for that. However, I will subscribe and keep watching your new videos. :) I like your content in this video, and the direction you plan to take your channel sounds promising. How sweet are you. I first started thinking that Trads were based and cool but as time goes by I find many of them have their priorities all mixed up, as if God's will is the last thing on their minds. Last April my son and I attended a weekday 8am Mass at the church across from the Book of Mormon theater (which we saw the night before) and I was very moved. Love Catholic NYC!

Your content has always resonated with me. I am a Protestant convert, came into the church with my confirmation in 2019. My entire Catholic journey I’ve been too charismatic & modern for the trads, and too traditional & conservative for the charismatics. I love veiling and Gregorian chant, but also love Vatican II, the call to for the laity to evangelize, and think modern praise and worship music during adoration can be so incredibly beautiful. I love attending Novus Ordo and the TLM. The “contradictions” apparent juxtapositions go on and on. This year for me has been a learning experience, how to simply keep my feet walking toward Christ wherever He leads. Listening to my spiritual director and those who have legitimate spiritual authority in my life and can truly see what is best for me. It’s been a learning curve of not allowing myself to be influenced by the myriad of Catholic voices saying what I “should” be doing. God has continued His faithfulness in my life, and has placed good holy people in my life, the Bible, tradition, and the teachings of the magisterium to help lead me where He wants me to be. Anything else is superfluous. Thank you, especially recently, for being a great example of listening to God’s direction in your life regardless of the ultimately-unnecessary opinions of the masses. I’m definitely sticking around 🙂

I don't know what the veiling rules are, but I think that your choice to not veil anymore isn't optimal. My observations inform me that veiling is a symptom of piety and adherence to orthodoxy. However, your choice isn't egregious, it shouldn't have been enough to cause fellow Catholics to abandon you, so I say good riddance to those did abandon you. I'm still here unless/until you stray into the realm of egregiousness. Keep in mind that humility doesn't entail tolerance of error or unorthodox practice - those things actually erode humility.

Sorry to hear that you were so attacked. Pray for our enemies and those who simply do not or do not want to have compassion.

Aren't we all a work in progress? I welcome growth and change from anyone. Those who don't welcome it have some growth to do themselves.

There's so many issues with the Catholics out there that don't even see their sin or are extremely scrupulous and forgetting charity with their pride blinding them. I'm glad you're calling them out. I was one of the scrupulous ones who was terrified of going to hell and scared that God would condemn me if I didn't warn someone about their sin everytime they committed one imo. I needed a serious chill pill. lol

I veil. And it's something that feels important to me. I love that you are at in the place where you are and the veil no longer feels necessary to you. I knew as soon as I saw your video that it was going to bring you a lot of nasty comments. There are a lot of people who are very defensive about their own personal pious practices and they lash out at people who don't feel the need to do those same practices. It's really unfortunate to see.

It shows how extreme we have become … what I love about Catholicism is that we are here because we want to, that our church focuses on the Eucharist and the Mass and sacraments … and that devotions , veiling , TLM are all options, but not necessary to be Catholic. I LOVE MY FAITH :) I LOVE HISTORY AND I fully appreciate the richness of our history. I have been singing in choirs since I was 18, and through out my life I now even more embrace the Traditions of our faith and enjoy both- Latin Mass and post Vatican II.. I veil and don't veil.. I let the holy spirit guide me. :) I hope that my love of God and even though am an imperfect human, I can with my outward worship and how I try to lead my life can bring people to our faith.

My grandma veiled using a very small round lace plate. I think it’s not necessary to veil so much fabric if you don’t like it. Some women veil with a tulle fabric and that’s ok. Fabric can be heavy. I think the small round plate is cooler. Lighter, easier to use and not overbearing. You don’t need a full mantilla and a big peineta unless it’s a grand occasion in the Spaniard culture. Sometimes I want to also copy my grandma and veil a small round plate over my head. I asked the priest and he said it’s OK.

Whether you veil or not - it doesn’t matter. I wish you would change your mind about the channel. You’re honest and true to yourself and you love the Faith. Everything else is trivial. Remember - it’s only between you and God, anyway. 🔥 ♥️

I've been grappling with judging others and am still. It takes humility to listen to other people's perspectives on faith and other matters that contradict our own. I even don't know why we always think our own perspectives are always right and therefore end up judging whoever comes with the contrary. I'm currently reading "The Imitation Christ," book and I've found out that I have been doing several things wrong. Lord, have mercy on us.

I am glad that you are doing what the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do. That is what matters, not the judgement of others. I said this in the comments of the last video, and I will say it again. Christ's death and resurrection is sufficient for us. Yes, we do need to follow Church teaching. But, we should not dispare and tell ourselves to be a certain way when God gives us the choice. If you walk humbly and follow the Lord, you cannot go wrong. I stopped veiling for that reason. If you want to viel, that is a-okay. But, remember, you are a new creation in Christ and vieled by the Grace of God. ❤❤

So people are upset about a cloth on your head? that is legalism and the people chastising you are focusing on one plant cell rather than seeing the whole forest.

You be you. Your personal devotion is your choice. I'm proud do be a conservative practicing Catholic, but others in my group do tend to be a bit intolerant, in fact, I make a point to receive communion in the hand because they look down their noses at me when I do. I will not kneel and receive Jesus on the tongue out of a need to look holy and appease their harsh judgement.

I was “forced” to be Catholic as a kid. I left the faith for 25 yrs. Never set foot in a Catholic church in that time, except the occasional wedding/funeral. But in prayer I was questioning everything. And a message given me was the blood on the shroud. It was science that brought me back. I didn’t want it to be the Catholic Church, but after seeing the blood on the shroud and every Eucharistic miracle, as a doctor , I couldn’t ignore the “science”. I learned a lot in non Catholic Churches. I met z Jesus. But it wasn’t until God led me back, that I experienced the peace of the Mass. I’m still learning, and it’s a life long journey. John 6 now has meaning to me. Keep up the good work.

Veiling is not a personal devotion. It is the practice of humble obedience to tradition of the Church which many women have lost. Many modern nuns and sisters no longer feel called to veil or wear habits, but they sure feel called to be deaconesses! Is it gatekeeping? Yes. We are called to be not of this world, to be different. So women (and men!) should dress different for Mass and Adoration.

I saw one of your videos where you said you were going to start a book club and named the book you would start with. I did buy the book but I haven’t seen anything about it since then. Have you made a video that I haven’t seen, yet?
