These vlogs made Stanford feel real for a Black girl like me. Thank you so much for keeping hope alive for many of us who are still working towards that dream. You are amazing, you are beautiful, take all the time you need but we will be right here when you come back.
Zoe, though I am sad that your vlogs are coming to an end I want to thank you for sharing parts of your life, your law school journey, and your mental health journey with us. I absolutely adore your videos and am always SO happy to watch them and you are a gem!!! Being a woman of color with few role models you have been somebody I almost look up to in some ways because you represent a lot of what I am trying to achieve - being a woman of color, breaking barriers, becoming a lawyer, making a life for herself, and so on. I only discovered your channel in the second half of 2022 but it easily became one of my favorites and your videos have felt like a comfort blanket for me during a stressful time in my life. Thank you so much for that. Keep pursuing, keep pushing, and don't lose sight of your dreams and goals! You are more than capable and I wish you nothing but the best. If by no longer vlogging you feel more comfortable and other aspects of your life can improve than I am so happy for you. Huda 🌸💕
There are so many successful lawyer/ content creators. Don’t let that one situation deter you, from living YOUR LIFE. You’ve helped me more than you know. I definitely looked forward to your videos. But good job putting yourself first. I wish you the best ❤
The billie music in the beginning and the end made me so sad ://// This is my first time commenting but just know I've been watching your vlogs all along. As a POC and first generation student interested in law your videos have been super helpful and honestly inspiring. I wish you the best in whatever direction life takes you!
I know what content creator you are talking about. I don't follow her but someone else I follow (a former Columbia Law student that used to work Big Law) made a reaction video and talked about her personal experience. It makes sense you want to make sure having this channel doesn't negatively impact your career. It sucks. I think you have a cool personality and you are very funny and nothing you do (or have done so far) should be seen as negative for your career...but you gotta do what you gotta do. Sharing so much is scary, even when you aren't worried about its impact on your future self.
I follow Eni also and I’ve been seeing the fallout from what happened to her. People can be such haters. I’m sorry you have to quit vlogging, I look forward to your updates but I understand. Best wishes in your future endeavors.
I saw the incident in question to which you’ve alluded and I had the same reaction that you had: people are such haters. For no reason. Because-like why? Why do you want to steal someone’s joy when it’s not negatively affecting you? How much hate do you have to have in your being to take time out of your life to ruin someone else’s? It’s giving jealousy. It’s giving…supremacy vibes. It’s giving hatred. That said, I take with great solace the words of the person affected, who said that she views the incident as something happening for her, rather than to her. And I’m elated about that because it could been much worse. I’ve appreciated you inviting us into your life and giving color to what it means to be a strong, resilient, and sometimes vulnerable black person navigating this existence. I’ve experienced all your emotions with you, cheering for your successes and growth along the way. But I don’t see this as goodbye, but rather on to a new chapter, and I wish you all the best and am excited to see further progress. I’ll, as I’m sure is the case with others, will be waiting in earnest expectation of your “ask me” videos. And I fully understand and agree that sometimes you have to make sacrifices to exist in the system in which we live. I would say good luck, but you don’t need it, because your such a wholesome, genuine, hard-working, hospitable soul, and you’ll be just fine. Thanks for taking us along your journey!
happy for you that you’re making the best decision for yourself and your well-being! i agree that parasocial relationships via social media can feel so weird but from one human being behind the screen to another, thanks for sharing your law school journey and for keeping it real :)
I'm definitely going to miss the vlogs, but I completely understand the switch. At the end of the day, you have to do whatever is best for you. I will keep checking your space for whatever content you choose to share.
My question to you is when WILL you be the position to risk your future? No one wants to put themselves in places that will hinder them from making progress but ultimately, you can make decisions that sit best with you. I hope you do what makes you happy but I want you to remember that you can’t control the things around but only how you adapt to them. Sending you love. 💜
NOOOOO don't leave us!! we love you!! (but also yes definitely prioritize yourself right now and we will always be here if/when you decide to return). will miss your random rants and chats that kept me company while studying. love you and good luck with your finals! wishing you all the best in your future in law
I enjoyed your content and I agree the world has changed and there are some cruel people in it. Do what's best for you and I wish you much success! I pivotal my other channel to make it more informative, educational, etc.
Going to really miss the weekly vlogs Zoe! I completely understand this is what you need right now and good for you for putting it into action. I’ve just followed you on IG, so I look forward to seeing what you’re up to as and when over there 🤍
Your channel has been such a help to me and it have me a drive to reach for the stars in my own application cycle. I wish you the best in this next chapter and I respect your decision. 🤍
