This is exactly what I was looking for! Ty!! I just got my first Mac and I love it as my main computer, but I want to start gaming again and these Handheld PCs are perfect for that extra bit in your setup. It would also allow me to access more Windows applications

you dont need a secondary display and you don't even got a portable gpu which is crucial for good performance on these pc handhelds, the game will crash unexpectedly without it

At this point, you might as well travel with two laptops. That or try streaming games on the Mac. Also, there are some games that do work on the Mac.

For me I use Mac usually , either iMac or MacBook, after I get a Legion Go I use it mainly for gaming and an extra Windows PC if necessary sometimes. For keyboard and mouse, at home, I will use software like synergy or sharemouse to use same keyboard and mouse to control 2 or more machines, it’s very convenient 😁

Bravo , I do the same thing but i dint need any other screen and the controllers are fine ! I love to have the legion go with me and i plug it on a tv in every hotel i go and i use it as a laptop for my job !!!!

Why not just grab the genki shadowcast for your MacBook - Lenovo HDMI connection? Then you can use the laptop as the larger screen 😊

I use my legion go with fusion 360 for cad design as well. Works great. I tried an external screen and it seems you have to make sure the screen is set as primary external, else everything hitches in game. Definitely the integration isn't as smooth as the steam deck, but the flexibility is much better.

Might have been better off buying a laptop im pretty certain he could find something with similar specs to the legion that would be still pretty portable.

You can also pick up and Minisforum V3 for a portable set up. It's seemingly got glowing reviews and it's not expensive like a full blown gaming laptop.

For your use case, you'd much rather get a PC tablet kind of like the new Minusforum I think that's how you spell it

JLab epic lab edition is pretty great for gaming. Surprised it’s not hyped, because it’s actually really good compared to the other tws that come with dongles.

If you are going to dock it to a monitor just get a mini pc

It’s nice bro but you definitely might as well just get a gaming laptop 😂 I’ve had the legion go for about 5 months now and love it the way it is 👍🏽 I usually only play it plugged in though, the battery life isn’t good.

Dang, I’m returning my legion go. Few games don’t even work needing a dedicated gpu card or are keyboard and mouse only and couldn’t redo all the key binds. Better off getting a low end gaming laptop but just wanted something to play in bed or when I’m not home lol

If you disable your legion gos monitor while hooked up to a 2nd screen your performance will skyrocket.

Dude. Legion Go is far beneath being capable of driving modern & 3D games at 2K and 4K resolution at a smooth frame rate (30-60). You said you play online games, a gaming laptop like Legion Slim can deliver 10x more with 10x less setup and dongles. Not a very good use of the Go. Unless you play retro games, which is perfect for 4k@30 or 2k@60

Nice. Got a legion go, i will be using it with my 4k portable once i get an Egpu enclosure made up. Add in the extra juice needed. Got an aya2 also. But im gonna get rid of it to get that new oneXplayer version. 10.9 inch screen. Imo the best pure handheld is still the deck. Fits so well, sticks are good, games run well mostly. Im definitely leaning towards the more mini gaming laptop side of things. Absolutely love having a kick stand. Make them even bigger, they could replace a need for a portable screen. This tech amazing atm. In a few years when power delivery is better. They're gonna replace gaming laptops and for a fraction too. Good gaming laptop, right now. £2k min. Good specs, looking £4k easy, before you hit 4090 level. No where near a real 4090. Performance since last gen hasnt improve a lot at all.

I would ditch all of that and just go with a second laptop. You have so many dongles and accessories that it takes up even more room than a second laptop would.
