The judicial system does nothing for abused women. Took them 8 months to arrest my ex for violating a restraining order. And for the multiple times that he was arrested all he had to do was take anger management classes.

When she describes how he came to the hospital to make others think he was caring and to keep up appearances it reminded me of my ex fiancé. I didn't want to be alone overnight after a surgery I needed and my mom would have stayed with me but he volunteered to stay instead. He left alone all night and wouldn't answer his phone and came back shortly before the morning nurses started their shift so it appeared as though he had stayed with me all night. I ended up breaking off the engagement because of the emotional and psychological abuse. This was many years ago and I couldn't be happier that I left.

I suffered physical, economic and mental abuse from a 3-year relationship. Please dont ignore the first red flag. The only way to escape an abuser and stalker is to remove yourself from the situation and geographically move if need be. It can cost you your life and sanity because restraining orders do not work.

I got out of a similar trap after 15 yrs of marriage. my ex-husband was super abusive but i also, like him, was raised in a household where my parents abused each other. my ex-husband has not changed, he is still abusive to the women he's in relationships with. i had to change and have. the moment i recognize anything that smells like abuse; a subtle verbal put down of my person; a physical 'playful' shove; a threat or intimidation; gaslighting, etc. no thanks. abusive men come in many colors and with many modus operandi. they are broken. never jump into a relationship with a man, ask questions, listen, observe, befriend with distance...soon his tale will be told. if he makes you feel weird or you see red flags go with your gut - female intution is powerful.

Girl it sounds like we had similar origin stories because that’s exactly how I met my abusive ex husband, after moving to a new place and wanting to physically distance myself from a toxic family dynamic. I’m so glad you got out. I also don’t think that I would be here today if I didn’t get out. I think you were lucky that your ex’s wife left him for good, sometimes they end up going back and it could have been a trap somehow to lure you back in. I don’t think I could ever be in contact with my ex’s new wife to help her because I don’t think I would be able to. I used to think I could and didn’t block her in case she ever wanted answers, but I just had to block her eventually to move on with my life and to save myself. I wish you and her all the healing in the world.

I was never lovebombed either, just by one. And I've been in 11 abusive relationships since I was 14. Almost no sex at all, no lovebombing, no futurefaking, just verbal and emotional violence starting soft from the start and getting worse. Finally someone else talks of this. I too was already isolated so I was "ripe for the pickin'" with a very though childhood.

It's terrible, that the justice prioritizes the stealing of a traffic sign over the abuse of women. However, there is justice with God. Thank God you had your family and friends to help you move out! I was looking for a way to email this channel. I never talk about my past. I actually avoid it like 30 years of my life never happened. I don't want to talk about the abuse I suffered as a child but because of the abuse and massive loss of life I had around me before i was 16, I feel right into a trap at 27 with a gorilla pimp. I was chained and beaten and forced to use drugs and alcohol. I was impregnated by my abuser and my baby killed at 7 months pregnant. I was forced to go into Mexico with a girl as I was losing my baby not knowing she was running drugs and was aressted at the border. He almost took my life on July 10 2017 and had a way to run and I ran until I couldn't anymore. He was taken down by gang squad but that was not the end. I would love to sit down and tell my story to make sure someone else broken does not fall victim to a predator as I did

I got out and trying to get my life back. At least you had a head start and had your job, car, and a place to go to. I was not so lucky

Just like Stevie had the same experience with a man and also had all my wisdom teeth taken out and got to his flat. He said he was nipping out and didn’t come back till 10am the next am. The whole time I was confused/worried and I’m a state of indecision and confusion of what to do. 😢

I have an odd question for you, and also for any of your viewers. Did you have any retaliation from sharing your story with your face visible? Are you glad you did face vs faceless? My reason for asking is bc I am working on creating a new SM channel I want to create a safe place where survivors can share their stories for other women to find hope. I’ve pondered on whether I should offer the option of showing their face, having it hidden, use their voice, alter their voice in post production, etc. I FEEL like it’d be best to give them ALL of those options but then also wasnt sure if it would put them at risk, etc. I would love to hear all thoughts that anyone is willing to share.

I know of a guy locally that was shot and killed when he went out to Vegas to help a friend's sister to move out. Her boyfriend was abusive and there was a confrontation when they showed up. I don't think anyone was aware he had a gun.😢

I am grateful to say that I am a born again Christian and have been since I was 19.......the reason I believe we have mean parents bad teachers and some of the meanest ppl who do some of the cruelest things such as abuse sometimes molest prey on children or anyone for any evil purpose!!!!!! we know that Satan is the ultimate abuser, molestor, and predator as the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:8 He goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour!!!!!! Now if you say to that Judge hey I know I’ve done a terrible thing of murdering that person but I hear you’re a good judge and so I know you’ll be fair to me...... the judge is going to reply well yes you’re right about one thing I am a good judge and because I’m a good judge I’m going to see to it that you’re punished and that justice is served! Well then all of a sudden someone you don’t even know comes forward and says you know what I know he’s committed the crime he’s committed and he deserves to go to jail but I really don’t want to see him go to prison so I’ll just go to prison for him so he can go free! So if you accepted that offer you’d be free to leave the courtroom but if you didn’t well you’d be crazy and go to prison yourself! Well that’s exactly how it was 2,000 years ago! He is God in human flesh and he came to this earth lived a perfect sinless life and even though he knew that we had sinned and because of our sins deserved to die miserably but he said no I don’t want to see them suffer so I will go and take their punishment for them! Even though he did absolutely nothing wrong still he chose to take the punishment for our sins so we can be set free from the power bondages and consequences of our disobedience to God! Romans 5:8 says For God commends his love toward us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us! 1 John 2:2 says he was made to be the propitiation for our sins! And not just for our sins but the sins of the whole world! 2 Corinthians 5:21 He who knew no sin became Sin for us that we would be made his righteousness! The truth is if you had to get to Heaven by your own effort then you cannot do it! Because Romans 3:10 says there is not one that does good! No Not One! Romans 3:23 says For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! Romans 6:23 says For the wages of sin is death! But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our lord! But the good news is Romans 10:9 If we confess with our mouth and believes in our hearts that Christ died for our sins then was raised from the dead we will be saved! V 10 For it’s with the heart we believe and it’s with the mouth confession is made unto salvation! God gave us 10 commandments to follow and we’ve broken every one of them! And because God is a good God he cannot allow our disobedience to him to go unpunished! Well then like I just mentioned above his son Jesus stepped forward and said no I don’t want to see them punished so I will take their punishment for them! And also like I said he died a terrible substitute criminal’s death for us on a cross so now all we have to do is accept that payment for our sins and we can escape the terrible wrath of God that is to fall on them who do not accept this atonement that was sacrificed for our sins! Praise the lord Romans 10:13 says Whoever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved! And 1 Peter 1:4 you’re an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you! Christ clearly said in John 14:6 I am the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the father but through me! Acts 4:12 clearly states that there is no other name given unto Heaven or earth by which we must be saved as there is salvation in no other!
