My Lifted Truck and Trailer Setup

This year I added a 6" lift and 35" tires to my truck. Since then I've been needing a piece to get the trailer level, and I finally got that piece!

Just so everyone’s aware, seems the consensus is this shank is sticking out way too far. I don’t trust my fab skills to modify this. I’m going to buy a new shank and will have a follow up video with it when I take the trailer and jeep our for a test drive with the new setup.

If I remember right I just towed my jeep with that similar Reese Hitch along with a tow dolley. It made me nervous but got the job done so I'll keep using it.

Nah I made a few this style forever ago when I started the channel. We have a vinyl cutter and I made some shirts to try stuff out

Your sales rep here :) I believe there is no such thing as "too long" with the hitch. I have seen these before on larger trailers and they work well. Wouldnt hurt to cut it down but having a longer hitch will increase your turning radius. Truck & trailer look great!

if you feel it is to long (that is the story of my life) drill a new hole in it and cut it down. i wouldn’t do anything until you put the jeep on it and see how it does.

I'm not totally sure , but it seems to stick out too far . I would think it would put a lot of force on the hitch . What I would do is take it to a trailer shop with an empty trailer and see what they say . Better be safe than sorry . Sorry I can't be more help to you . Thing that sucks is the guy I bought this off of at a trailer shop said it looked fine. A lot of other people are saying it looks too long also so I’m gonna get a new shank
