Great video mate, really even spread, totally different to mine, I have a higher spread on the top I might actually do one tomorrow, that Pikachu is stunning I've been waiting for a piece of this can't wait till I get a piece , keep up the great videos mate 👍
Cheers bud, yeah it's a really even distribution of par, massive overkill but exactly what I wanted. It's a real stunner isn't it. Though to get hold of but definitely worth the effort
How old is your seneye? I have one and it gives what I would consider to be ridiculously high PAR readings. According to BRS, an older version gives you about half that, which is accurate. I've had mine about a year...
Brand new at the time of the video. I agree, I have borrowed one from another reefer previously and the values were very high in comparison to the results I have shown in the video. The one I borrowed was a year or 2 old
Great video 👍 there are plenty of Radion, AI or any other brand you can think of reviewed but not so on GHL. It would be good if you could share your thoughts on the GHL Mitras and the programming of them.
It's very interesting taking the readings, I actually knew where this tank was at before doing this video. My first light rig on this tank was way too high on par but I had absolutely no idea until I borrowed a par meter.
That is a one stunning tank you have there kind Sir. Just a thought here about PAR reading, don't you think that putting the sensor on acrylic rod might change the numbers a bit? I think that using the sensor in hand could block some light especialy while measuring at bottom.
Now that's a very good point. I tried to keep as far away from the sensor as I could but I have no doubt I may have altered the results slightly by holding it
I always wanted to go hybrid but its simply not possible for me due to the lack of mounting options, i want a mount that sits in the back of the tank glass like the kessils and radions.
My 15 g is doing HORRIBLE … I been in the hobby for 7 years and I still can’t figure out how to turn it around … I can’t get rid of algae on the rocks I think they are leaching nitrate and phosphate which is feeding the algae and not leaving anything left over for the corals. There was 0 nitrate and 0 phos in my water and I had Dino’s that I recently got rid of because of the low nutrients… so I started dosing NP plus by tropic Marin to add nitrate and phos … the tank looks horrible the corals looks terrible but are still alive. it’s 7 months old I should be past all this crappy stuff idk what to do anymore. I been staying away from waterchanges because it will jus bottom out my nutrients again. I’m stuck between a rock and a hard place. This sucks.. I might have to start all over 😫😫😫🤣
