If you use 1080p signal, set the a6400 to 4k and hdmi out to 1080p. The signal will be down sampled from 4k and will be better.

I use xsplit camera on my phone as a webcam to my computer then I use xsplit vcam as a green screen effect without needing a green screen

That’s an Argosy Desk - got the same one at Sweetwater. They also have a keyboard version which is the one I grabbed b/c I can fit all my necessary MIDI controllers/Control Surfaces etc.

Very cool. Could you show us your studio set up. Always thought the door in the back was the entrance to the studio, but I am guessing it is a closet now. Do you set your speakers for mixing a certain distance off the wall. I love the was that you have more room for guitars as that is what I am all about. Can't have to many of them. Thanks for sharing.

Restream puts them all in one place. My Mac Pros video card has an HDMI input.

How do you handle your own monitoring without headphones. Do you have gates or ducking, what about feedback or out of phase sounding guitars considering your mic is potentially right in front of one of your monitors? These are the nuts and bolts questions and some of the challenges a person will deal with if not using headphones and often enough even if you are. I mean I can hear your string noise through your mic but not weird phasing issues, feed back or otherwise so your not gated or ducked. I know the choices of mic and room acoustics can play a role but not to this extent. It looks and sound good and natural. Is there something going on in the software that helps or is it just trial and error? A more in depth look at these and other common issues would be great.

so is the helix going into the interface via an output? I have a scarlett 2i4 and the issue I'm having is I can't get input 1 and 2 to separate they just blend together so if I want to just have guitar or just have talking I have to physically turn them up or down on my interface which is a little awkward..

So im trying to go live and rap over beats but for some reason im getting latency when trying to.. will this eliminate the issue of late signals coming through? I see people doing it on tiktok but not sure why. I got it to do it once but thats it and then it did it again

I have a focusrite solo interface and couldnt figure out how to have my guitar audio from fl studio be in obs or xsplit :/

If you're using PC, I've heard good things about VB-Audio's Voicemeeter Banana software. It's donationware, so you are able to download it for free. I'm not sure about Mac though, other than Loopback as shown in this video. It costs $100 though so pretty pricey, but it's what I use as well.

I use Reaper and it has a plugin called Reastream. If FL studio doesn't have something similar Reaper offers it as a free stand alone plugin you can use in other DAWs. I also have a Focusrite and they can be a bit of a struggle to do this stuff with even with the right plugins or hardware because they don't have "Multi-client drivers" what ever that means, LOL. My friend told me the Streamlabs version of OBS worked a bit better for him than the regular version but I can't confirm or deny this, I only know he knows more about it than me and I trust his word except on string gauges, in which case he's a liar and a fat mouth. Oh yeah to put it in perspective this is why Fluff is soft shilling Loopback because a program like it streamlines the i/o process, unfortunately for myself and 3/4 of the rest of the world it is a mac thing and pc's have yet to get something equal to this. Helicoid mentioned VB-audios Voicemeeter Bannana and it does work, I used to use it before I found out about Reastream and Reastream standalone which was less complicated for my set up considering I don't actually stream but just want one click video/audio recording. Hope this gives you some options that help and a starting point to research. Pick my brain if you have any other questions I might be able to point you in the right direction, who know a broken clock is right twice a day, LOL. Peace out! :)

Fluff or anyone have any experience streaming to Zoom? I'm a 5th grade teacher and I miss playing guitar for my students during tests/quizzes. I run my guitar into my focusrite 2i2 into GarageBand (don't judge me it's my district's laptop) then I use the Archetype Plini plug in. I'm just having problems having my kiddos hear my guitar.

Do you happen to know of any alternative options for loopback that are either free or at lower cost? I’ve tried loopback as a free trail and it’s awesome but unfortunately for the time being it’s not in the budget.
