The issue may be that the needle driver depth is not set correctly. To ensure that your needle driver is in the correct location you’re going to place your index/pointer finger under the hole on the bottom side of the sewing arm. With your finger in place slowly move your flywheel in one complete rotation. If the needle comes through the hole and starts to drive into your finger you need to stop moving the flywheel or back your finger away from the hole. (I don’t want any negative comments with people piercing their fingers because they went to fast with the flywheel.) If that happens your needle driver is adjusted to low. You should only feel the tap of the needle when your needle drive is adjusted correctly. (When I say a tap I mean that you can feel the needle, but it does not hurt or poke through the skin. If you see blood then your needle is too low!!) If your finger is in place and you don’t feel anything; your needle driver is adjusted too high.
