I just started reading And Then There Were None and the language is something else. I have to remind myself this book was written a long time ago! I'm curious if newer editions take out a certain word?

Those Nancy Drew books were a great find! I've got two mysteries planned for March: Murder on the Leviathan by Boris Akunin (heard about on Tristan Talks Books) and The Body They May Kill by Audrey Stallsmith (a Chautona Havig recommendation). For Middle Grade March, I plan on reading the group read, The Mona Lisa Vanishes, as well as Mexikid by Pedro Martín. The latter received a Newbery Honor this year and fits four of the five prompts. (I'm slowly attempting to at least try most of the Newberys, Medal and Honor.) I also hope to read Recorder by Cathy McCrumb for The Protagonist's Pub book club and When the Flames Ravaged by Rhonda Dragomir (just because - lol). And yes, I am already starting to have thoughts about April's tbr! 🤓 Hope you feel better soon, Alma. You were a real trouper getting this video out.

I know I was really excited about finding those old Nancy Drew books..I paid 50 cents for 4 of them!! I was just telling my daughter yesterday about getting a list of all the Newberry winners and reading them. We just started reading Johnny Tremain as a read aloud and it won in 1944 I think! I would love to read Recorder, but I don't have it and my library doesn't have it. It's on my list to read this year because I hear it is so good. I'm glad I am not the only one who thinks ahead.

Oh, wow, that was a great deal! I read Johnny Tremain several years ago and loved it! I started the ebook of Recorder this morning. I'm only about four chapters in but am definitely getting pulled in. I'll let you know what I think when I finish. @@AlmasBookJourney

BookTube will do that to you - give you a TBR a mile long! Every month since i started my channel! 😂 I do love Roseanna M White, but i will say i disagreed with some of the theology in The Nature of a Lady. Not everyone feels that way, so you might not have the same response. Her stories are always amazing, though, and she's a favorite author of mine.
