I've felt the same way about KS but never thought about this build, thought it was me playing wrong. I'm playing your build now with rdruid in 2s, so far around 2k rating and stuck a bit...melees delete my druid too fast, or fights take too long to finish even with me landing traps fast on burst windows, i feel that 2s lacks dps and healers need to be ofensive all the time, and my rdruid is too passive.
With that build you have two points in Steady Focus. Do you Steady Shot twice every time just to keep the haste buff? Using the Salvo build right now, and I rarely even use Steady Shot.
At times when there's nothing going on really or I'm waiting, or out of aimed shot charges (rare but happens) and prepping is the only time I really do it. It's just a nice buff during filler periods but not important to keep up all the itme.
Almost never, you do it as a last resort (or to finish a low totem off or something) if you have literally nothing else to press on a low target, but arcane shot is better especially without the talents buffing it. Even a non-buffed arcane shot is probably hardly weaker than killshot without the talents tho xD
Its weird im currently at around 2560 and im using a similar build but our playstyles are the opposite, i have to play aggressive and be actively landing traps on cooldown to win. If im sitting back and trying to max damage we will almost always get outclassed and loose. The only time your playstyle works for me is in shuffle.
It's a totally different thing than I usually play, most of the time hunters have to play aggro, but with rdruid and assa rogue it often is the safest bet, we haven't lost to a single demo or aff shadowplay like this (although destros often randomly kill my rogue xD)
Also its not every comp to play like this, just the super dampener wizards on big maps, if I fight cupid or something like that you still gotta go in and trap every time, same like ret/war
