This is a flip through of a Mermaid themed junk journal I just completed. It's 6" x 8.5" 4 signatures that are sewn in with a 5-hole pamphlet stitch. It's a hardcover that is covered with a thin batting and quality cotton material. I handsewed a sequin mermaid onto the front. Underneath is a green sequin "wave" that was sewn in too.
All the pages were ripped by hand, distressed, and edges inked. There are many elements including charms, jewelry, pockets, tags, ribbons, cards, post card, coffee dyed paper, velum etc.
