I'm a KISS adept. Chucked all nasty weeds with seeds in a tub for 5 weeks. The smell, well... Diluted it 4 times and tested it on a row of Comfrey: no negative effects. 2nd batch administered to the fava/broad beans: they grew 50 percent higher than the 5 previous years and had a yield rise of 50 percent. 3rd batch was applied to all raised beds. No negative impact. Whenever possible I don't water overhead on my no dig raised beds, and use 3 inch plastic pots for subsoil watering in order suppress weeds and unneeded evaporation.It's weird, but this year I'm trying to go without external compost or garden disposals of other family members.

Thanks for the reminder. Your wrote in comments when leaves curl and turn brown it's magnesium deficiency. When the leaves turned light color I thought it caught white powdery mildew because I had Broccoli with white that smudged off. I've learned from you that's not how it works. Your videos are mine-full of great information. Would you be able to make videos about blueberry gardening as well as container gardening? My garden is in the city, not very big, full of tree roots and with limited sunlight. That's why I had to opt for container gardening, which will never give me high yields as real gardening in the soil. I can't tell you how much satisfaction it gives me getting even a fraction of crops from my containers compared to a real garden. It's pure joy. Thank you for making these videos and sharing your enthusiasm and knowledge.

Love your videos bro. Spreading knf/jadam knowledge. I have a similar submersible pump. I don't use any filter or tea/brew bags so that as many solids can come through the hose as possible. I noticed this gives lots of 🍄 overnight. I don't know if this is necessarily good or bad to let solids through in soil drenching but the plants seem happy. ❤️

I would be very interested in a video about plants that like to grow close together. Because the way i want to prepare for the dry season is by heavy mulching and growing in a way that mostly everything is covered. Man, thank you for all the effort you are putting into this. That will work. Been doing that for two years now(mulching etc and the soil is retaining water better (mostly sand here). Tip: Research off grid hydroponics especially the Kratky method. That will save a lot of water. Also, right now I have somewhat of recycled water... Cycle 😅 with airconditioning providing water when cooling but if you can get your hand on an air de-humidifyer, you could have a steady supply of water because air is mostly full of water.

thanks for the super positive feedback my friend!!.. no script lol just freestyle... I often wonder about people in Alaska how short or long is your season?

@@gardenlikeaviking - it's short! Anchorage is June 1-Sept 12 100 days or so. We just switched from full hot sun to full rain which happens this time every year. So that makes our spring planting even more important. I've been trying some things to get a head start. I planted some kabocha on a 2 year old deep pile of wood chips on south west facing embankment. It went nuts! 20" compost thermo read 110F on the sunny side and 90F under the plant. World record holder John Evans used to live just north of here in Palmer. He was big on raising the soil temperature with massive organic inputs. I am big into hot composting which people think can't be done up north. There are tricks and this summer I got it up to 178F which I know is too hot for some bennies but makes it so I can get at least 2 batches done in a summer. I could talk for hours. But love the channel and you are definitely heading places. Keep it up!

Question: How important is it to have a sealed lid on the JDAM while fermenting? and can you use it earlier than 3 months.

Keeping the lid on will cause an anaerobic fermentation which will produce different kind of bacteria (more lactic I think). Think of the difference as this: When you ferment apples without lid, you will produce vinegar, with lid it becomes alcohol. Is one better than the other? I prefer alcohol but vinegar also has uses.

Thank you for your awesome videos, been spending the last two nights watching them! I have a question: do you let your barrels with the different fertilisers sit in plein sunlight or is there a point at which it gets too hot for the micro-organisms? Thanks in advance!

Thank you master, you inspired me a lot of great tips. I would aske you the best solutions to fix sand soil?? .
@gardenlikeaviking
@gardenlikeaviking Год назад
you're welcome my friend.... sandy soil needs organic matter to retain the nutrients in the soil... add lots of cow manure or horse manure... cover with leaves or grass clippings.... spray with Microbial Solution from the video I made

Brother, I wish to have such information applicable to Tropical regions such as Papua new Guinea. Cheers

Yes, you are right I didn't surf the comments for an answer. Good content, you mention the brassica application, got it. What about clover application, drench, or root feed only? I keep many micro deer food plots and get tired of slumping bags of fertilizer.

depends what zone you're in but I'd plant crimson clover and red clover because it will keep growing back when cut and then reseed itself mid summer... yes you can "overhead water" this stuff directly onto the clover it will love it!... keep a barrel of fermenting clover near the clover plot and use that to fertilize it... it'll love that!
