I've been doing facial microneedling about 4 months now, once every 4 weeks, it works great, in my career I sweat a lot and I also had some mild acne scars, these treatments work wonders. I used to just use retinol and other high end serums but it didn't effect the look so much, my face was very smooth to the touch. It wasn't till I started microneedling. And I do it myself at home with the Dr. Pen! So you men out there, we can also have great smooth texted skin

Great video! I was about to buy the Dr Pen A6 and I’m so glad I found your channel! Full of very good informations 💕. Btw, do you still apply some peelings (TCA or others) from time to time or you only do microneedling as a « strong » procedure? Thank you so much

I wound love your opinion on which I should do first. I have a few acne scars and some sun damage I'd like to see diminished. Would love to hear what you think! Hi Tonya! 🌺 Thank you for such a nice comment. I will try to help! It's a tough question. For the things you're trying to treat, if it were me, I would go for microneedling first. It really helped me with sun damage and it's been proven to also help with acne scars. Although, you can also treat certain types of acne scars with the cross tca peel method. I would also do glycolic peels or other similar types of peels to help assist in treating sun damage, plus use sunscreen daily. I will try to do more research on this and get you more info if possible. From my experience, the microneedling gave me much longer lasting results - longer than TCA peels. I hope this helps a little bit!

Personaly I bought the dr pen M8. I was super scared by doing this but i did microneedling for the 2nd time this week and my skin looks already amazing. Smoother than ever and my pores are minimised i can tell. I will continue to do this for sure. Spring and summer are coming I think it's better to use it with nano needles during this time. For me it's a must have now 👍🏼

Hi, may I know after the 8 treatments how often are you planning to do treatments? Once every 3 or 6 months? Or maybe once a year? Also, do you think going outwards when derma needling will give better results? Rather than doing circles or +× ? I noticed this with plasma pens, they way they do triangles above the brows to lift them. Also, may I point out that I did use the nanopen but I didn't notice much even with using the grand booster tip, I had better results with nurse jamie beauty stamp, not sure why.

Thanks Lori! 🌺 I now only use Hyaluronic acid serum. Long ago I also used some avocado oil mixed in with it but I have since learned it's safest to not use things like that. It is fine to use while dermarolling though. I didn't have any issues, but there is also a small risk of a granuloma, which I think in studies is often attributed to the use of Vitamin C while needling. But anyway, that is super rare. So, I've mostly stuck with the HA, but I've run out once during the treatment and sprayed my face with water and that worked too. If you were to get the treatment done in an office, they sometimes use different serums. I just want to be super safe so I stick with only HA.

Aww thank you. I made this video a while back and just forgot to post it here. The pics are somewhat embarrassing but hopefully very helpful for people to see! I haven't tried it on scars but I really should. Thank you for that video idea!

@@firstpitstop well dear my surgery scar also bother me i tried microneedling 3times...no improvement i found then came to know about silicone sheet yeah i can say there is 60% change in my scar in last 2 months. I definately request you to try once ❤

I use Amlactin once a week and do facial massages and exercises. Would this irritate those activities at all? What's your opinion?

Amlactin is lactic acid. You should not use any acids several days before or after microneedeling.

I just started recently using the M8 after seeing your videos and the progress you have achieved, and I cant wait to see progress myself. Am 36 with mature skin and deep wrinkles under eyes and hooded 😓. How frequently do advice to use it?. And which depth you advice to use around the eye area ?. Thank you

Hi Nadine🌺 I use it less often than some people. But, it's fine to do a treatment once a month. For me, I don't go deeper than 0.5mm around the under eyes. But, for the side of the eye area, where many people have more lines, I have gone deeper at 1.0mm to treat lines there. I really hope you have great results!

Have you stopped using Tret before or after the microneedling? And if you did when did you stop and start again :)

Yes, for me I would probably stop a few days before microneedling. Then, I know some experts recommend waiting about 5 days after MN before starting back on tretinoin.

Yes I do! I get it as close as possible. I also use a nanoneedling device which has a smaller cartridge and I can get that super close to my under eye.

Do you microneedle your lips Holly?

I don't, but if I am using a derma roller, I will roll over the lips. Also if I am nanoneedling, I'll go over the lips with that. But, the regular microneedling is a bit aggressive. If I were to use a regular microneedling pen, I'd just lower the depth to something very minimal and try it.

when you clean your skin with alcohol, does it not dry out your face?

Alcohol is to kill any bacteria on the face. When you microneedle you have to use a serum so the pen glides over the face and that provides moisture (such as HA).

@@LifeDIY you're welcome😁 i like the color green, it used to be one of my favorites. well it still is, only that now i like the color only. i don't like to see the word "green" because of all this green dictatorship "green this" and "green that" and little green greta(poor kid, lol) but yeah, all that aside, the color green itself is nice. i especially like that early spring green. the color of the leafs in early spring, it's a light green, but it's also .. idk... "lit" ? like... it's sort of alive. fluorescent almost. much like the color of your necklace, or green emeralds. i saw this movie with emeralds once, "green ice" was called. and sorry about the inversion of words, like.... i should have said "it was called green ice" but i can assure you that using inversion is a perfectly correct and posh way to speak english, british style 😜
