I just have two bodies at present canon t7i and 6d mark 2...... Been going after lenses canon 85.....17-40, 70-200 2.8 and just last week Tamron 24-70mm 2.8 finally and a few more lenses here n there

Hi, I am using a crop sensor camera - Fujifilm X-S10. It is great, small and versatile. Lenses for Fuji system are also lightweight and guite affordable - for vlogging purposes I am using wide zoom 10-24mm 4.0, but I am considering buying Tamron 17-70mm 2.8, especially because of wider apeture level.

Great video as always, and nothing wrong with switching brands. Use the best camera for the job. I am a Panasonic user but recently bought an A74 as I needed reliable AF for my RU-vid and Photographs. I have never looked back. Take it easy!

Great video! I switched from Canon to Sony two years ago after watching several videos on RU-vid and have been very happy. Another GREAT lens to use with a Sony camera for photography is the Sigma 24-70 mm. Its an amazing lens. I know its hard to get used to a new cameras menu system but when you find a camera that you love, its all worth it!

I love my a7c! I bought it initially for low profile photography, but now I'm using it more and more for casual video making. For video, I use it for streaming on zoom and for my educational videos for my nonprofit organization with OBS. Now, I bring it with me as a back up body for my main use which is photography with my primary body being the Sony a7IV. Laura, for the a7c, which video profiles do you use? I tend to use pp off because shooting video is newer to me than photography 🤣.

Hi Laura BC! This is an awesome video! I love the suggestion to use the lavalier mic and also your mini tripod. I also had a huge Lowe-Pro camera bag, and I never brought it with me. Now I use the Tenba Fulton v2 14L and 16L All Weather camera backpack and it works perfectly for me. The 14L is a little smaller if you’re feeling minimalistic, and the 16L is better for longer trips or if you bring a hoodie or extra snacks 🤣 Again, thanks for the super video. I have the Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 and it’s such a versatile lens. I’m thinking of getting that mini tripod you have when I’m “In the wild” with the my Sony and the Tamron 28-75. Keep up the great work!! 🏆

I’m still not sure if getting a big one, discreet for travelling or a small one… I always want more! 😂 So good to know that you have the 28-75mm and you’re happy with it! I may get it soon as it’ll cover more range when having just my Sony A7C with me. The tripod is super handy! For me, way better than the Gorillapod as it’s way too bulky. Thanks again for watching! I guessed the camera and the lens right (well, with the lens I thought based on your description it was either the Sigma 16-28 F2.8 or the Tamron). The Sony A7C is the only camera I have right now, so I use it for all my photography and videography and I'm very happy with it. I'm curious to see if they will release an A7C II sometime within the next 2 years, which would be a more simple and compact version of the A7 IV, maybe with a few little feature upgrades (like 4k 60 without crop) :-)

Hi Stéphanie! Both are quite similar but the Tamron is a little bit lighter, shorter and thiner. I wanted the smallest lens possible as I got it specifically for vlogging. Also, many creators out there were incredibly happy with its quality so I decided to get this one. I've been using it for a long time already and I'm very happy with it! 😊 I hope it helped. ❤️

i use A7c also. You will find you need 2 lenses. But, I am no pro, or even a good Vlogger but, I do follow some Tuber/ picture folks. I am a business person in my past. I am very happy to find you. 🌴🌴Aloha

I love my Sony A7C! Glad you have it too. 😊 I use it just for vlogging so the 17-28mm works perfect for me. Also because you can add the super 35mm crop. Which gives you a little extra reach. 😍 Glad you found my channel! I hope you enjoy it! ❤️

I am a Nikon Photographer and I had the same confusions. Your video gave me confidence to get this duo (Sony A7C and Tamron 17-28). I am just afraid that Sony will launch a Mark 2 as soon as I buy. How do I make a decision now ? 😅

I’m glad it helped! 😍 Omg! Haha I was exactly with the same fear. I also heard about the rumours for the Mark II. And I will seriously die if they release it this year. 😂 But I really wanted this camera and I couldn’t wait so let’s see… 🙈 Something similar happened to me with the Drone, the DJI Mini 2. A little bit later they released the Mini 3 Pro. I was so upset! But it’s what happens now, the eternal dilemma. 😅

It also has a great thing that you might have overlooked Laura, it has gyro data embedded in. So for example you can take that video you made of yourself walking at about 7:11, process it with Sony Catalyst Browse and it will make it seem as though you have used a gimbal with it. Let me know if I made your day :P

Hi Alexandru! I know about the Gyro data. 😊 It’s very very good right? but for me it really slows down my production process. So I don’t use it. For some client videos maybe but for weekly youtube videos and vlogging it makes everything slower. Thank you so much for pointing that one though! 😊❤️

Laura was better to stay with canon and buy the eos r for less money money!!! , for you can change your lenses , i just bought the 14-35 for vlogging and photography as well and is amazing and if i want more range i change to the 1.6 crop on my eos r5 without losing quality, anyway is your money and you spend how you think is better , take care and keep doing what you like , peace!!!!

Canon EOS R doesn’t have 4K without cropping, it doesn’t have IBIS, neither 120fps, it has record limit and it’s bigger. It didn’t cover my needs for what I want it too at all. We all have different needs and for me it didn’t work. 😊

Not sure where you got the under 3 grand from but in Australia Sony a7c is at least $4200 plus lens. Way more than the m50, nethertheless a good vlog for an old guy.
