I am purchasing another one to do the same. Except someone sells a 3d printed grip that just goes over the shotgun barrel. I have no idea how to mess around with cutting and wiring so that's the route I am going.

Just ordered mine and am gonna try and at least get that awful looking wad of tape removed and back to the original grip. I don't entirely hate the wood grip but I would prefer it be the OG.
Dude, they look amazing. I'm currently working on my second Pack, and even though I already have a Hasbo wand, I really wanna get another one so I can mod one to look like the 84 movie version too.

I did not have to modify the battery pack at all I just cut the old grip off and glued the new one on it did not affect the battery compartment. I did not have to buy a new pipe just shaved the remainder of the cut handle flush with the pipe to put the new handle on. I got the grips from eBay not ghostbuster fans. Don’t remember who exactly I got it from though.
@@ghostbusterspluscollector9624 thanks. I got a Spengler wand from eBay. But the guy hacked it trying to mod it. The guy emailed man and said he didn't have any real tool experience or tools period so he felt like it was a pretty good sell. But damn. The shotgun grip has been replaced but I can see the Mode button cable and clear tube. So I'm probably gonna put more than $30 into it.
Great job! Did you sand off the inside of the end part of the rear grip to match the little difference in height or did you cut off the lower part of the ring? Because at the end of the rear grip, there's that ring to open the battery compartment.

I got me the wand two months ago but am opening the box on my birthday in about a week (had the kenner pack as a kid so this is a kid's dream come true) and I've already started looking at videos and threads about modding the grips into a more "original GB" style. Want to go in prepared. :) Even ordered two resin grips.
Thanks! I found them on Etsy. Last I checked I think someone is still making them on there they are unpainted. Just have to search for Neutrino Wand Grips.
