At what point do you have to turn the laser on and off? AND how are you doing that? If it is for looking at the Frame option within LightBurn, that is a simple press of the shift key when you click on the Frame button. If it is when you start and stop your burn project, that sounds like a more serious issue. If you are able to output the G-Code to a file, do that and take a look at it to see if it is putting an M3 or M4 in the code to turn the laser on. At the end, there should be an M5 to turn it off. If these are missing, then it would be a setting in the software you are using to generate your G-Code. Let's start with that and see if we can track down what is going on with your laser.

@@CNCATHome when the project is about to begin. Laser will move to the starting point but I have to push a little button on the laser itself to get it running. Weird

@@TheMrXpunch - That is odd. The only button I have on my laser controller is an on/off switch for turning the whole laser on or off. There is also an on/off on the main controller too. I typically leave them both on all the time when I am using it and the controller tells the laser when to start shooting fire and when to stop.

@@CNCATHome yeah exactly my controller seems drunk. It’s still under a warranty I’ll see if I can get some troubleshooting going
