Wow! Bareback and a halter! The training and calmness it takes to do that is incredible! Been doing that with my mustang and it sure isnt easy but that creates such a soft horse and in tune with the rider's movement! Yea for mom! My mom also rides 4 to 5 times a week! But shes in a saddle!

Yeah that's impressive! I will say this before anything else I'm a newer rider and therefore lack knowledge but I've heard it's hard on horses backs to ride bareback and that you shouldn't do it often as it can hurt them, so 4 times a week sounds kinda horrific to me. But again I'm a newer rider so I can't say much about a topic I'm not entirely familiar with. I was told that you'd only really want to do it maybe a few times a month or so. Just hoping pepper is happy and healthy though.

My moms too scared to even walk behind the horses she trusts them she’s just always SUPER cautious and nervous even though our horses are angels I gotta tell my mom to jump my horse now 🤣

I have the same issue with getting my horse to keep going. Then I was told to shorten my reins, and it worked! When the reins are too long, her head went down and she wanted to stop.

I know that lots of people will probably disagree with me, but hunt-seat saddles are the worst ! I've found them very difficult to balance on. My alternatives: cut-back saddle (for saddleseat style), or western saddle. Both are lots more balances :)
