My mom had visited us from Finland in June and we spent the summer in the hills of Himachal to escape the Indian heat. But before that, we explored the tourist sites of Jaipur, visited the Taj Mahal and took a toy train to Shimla. We had to cut short her trip in Himachal because of an old leg injury which started troubling her in the hills. The journey back from Himachal to Jaipur was harrowing! It took us almost 20 hours in the bus from Aut to Delhi because of heavy rains in the mountains. It made us decide to never do a road trip to Himachal and find better alternatives. The road trip from Delhi to Jaipur which takes about 5 hours, took us 12 because of road blocks due to political protests. We finally reached home and spend the last couple of days with my husbands parents just relaxing at home. And finally, it was time for my mom to go back home to Finland. Annika gave her the one of her cutest goodbyes :)
