Actor, Kevin Peter Hall, played the Predator. He also played the helicopter pilot at the end of film. Sadly he passed away at age 35!! It was fun watching you react Mom. As we say in Texas; y'all be safe.
First time seeing this I was a little girl and went to the drive-in theatre with my parents. I thought it was the scariest yet coolest movie ever. Modern classic!
I hope you guys watch Prey. Think your Mom might enjoy a young female lead taking on the Predator. As well as the historical contexts within the film related to the indigenous people of North America.
Your mom is sharp witted, she notices small, revealing details. I watched this movie when I was a teenager, then I watched it with my kids. Can't wait to re-watch it with my grandkids when I'll have some.
I had a roommate once that was a hardcore Predator fan and I'm a hardcore Alien fan. He's straight and I'm gay. He managed a gym and I like cheesecake too much. He's ginger and I'm raven haired. We were just a couple of nerds that had a combined massive movie collection. 😉
Awesome reaction and this is one of the greatest movies of all time. Greatest creature of all time. Team Predator! When Jean-Claude Van Damme was playing it, he did not understand the concept of green suit and it was too tight and sweaty and he was angry all the time. There are videos of the green stupid suit online. It was supposed to be a Kung-fu Alien movie. Phew! That was dropped, Jean-Claude Van Damme left! And it became this masterpiece! Let your mom know more info as as more Predator movies come. The yautja(Predator) does not play sports. They hunt! They hunt for the best kill to earn their place in the clan. They have a strict honor code! The more powerful hunt they get, the more satisfied they are. Each predator has a unique character just like people. Predators can survive on earth-like planets for a week without a helmet and use it as a breathing apparatus. Helmets give them different kinds of visions, controls, etc. A Predator that does its first hunt is an Unblooded. After its successful 1st Alien hunt they are blooded and receive the shoulder cannon. Each earns and chooses their weapons after some hunts. Oh, and the life of an average Predator is more than 1000-10000 years if it survives. They don't hunt something that is unarmed. There are also some rouges. They are called Bad blood and predators don't like bad blood! The pilot(Kevin Peter Hall) in the last scene is the one who played Predator! Please watch Predator 1 ,2, and maybe AvP and STOP...! And flush every other Predator movie down the toilet and burn the toilet!
The jungle shoot out, where your mom said they don't know what they are shooting at is an actual military tactic called saturation fire. If you can't see your enemy but you KNOW they are close, you put everything you have into a concentrated area. At the end when he took off his mask he was making it more fair. The mask helps him see in all spectrums of light, infrared, UV, etc, so he can't see as well, and it supplies him with an atmosphere more like his home planet which is more methane based and less oxygen, taking it off means he is breathing more oxygen and nearly no methane which makes them much weaker (Still super strong but the pred tried lol).
I had a mother once. She's gone now. Two years. I subscribed because I used to watch movies/tv with her all the time. I have no video reactions...just sweet, sweet memories. 😢 Thank you for doing these. It helps. 💐
Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in this between Raw Deal and The Running Man. Bill Duke co-starred with Arnold in Commando before this. Shane Black helped write Lethal Weapon before helping with this. This has the same composer as Back to the Future. Jesse Ventura served as a Navy UDT, which was the predecessor to the SEALS
I have watched this movie so many times over the years. The one part that drives me crazy every time is that when Billy cut’s himself he doesn’t get a single shot at the Predator. 🫤. Great movie the Predator looks disgusting and terrifying. Great reaction 😁✌️👍
Kevin Peter Hall played The Preditor very well. I personally favor Sonny Landham/aka Billy. He played in the movie 48 Hours& Best Of The Best 2(Highly recommend you watch Best Of The Best to start with though.
THREE cast members actually ran in different state governor elections. Arnold and Jesse Ventura were successful and Sonny Landham/Billy ran for governor in Kentucky in 2003 but lost his primary election.
there was a big log that needed moving, so they asked Arnold to move it & he was like "No! It's heavy!" & everyone was saying, "But you're Arnold!" & he said, "No! It's heavy! That's stupid!"
I love this movie and glad I found your channel! In the early 2000's I was lucky enough to visit Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and they filmed the movie in the jungles near Mismaloya...The Predator tour was awesome and the terrain simply put was beautiful and lush!!!
I saw this in the theater when it came out. I've always thought that Mack should have taken a shot at the Predator when he saw it in trees instead of trying to sneak up on it. He had a machine gun and it wasn't that far. He could have had several rounds on it before it could move.
your right, but Mack did not have all the info on the Ceature, he chose what would have been the right move against pretty much any other enemy. but he chose the wrong tactic against the Predator, not knowing he can see in infrared red, Plus Blaine was his friend so he wanted to get an up-close kill if he can. It was personal to him. thus try to sneak and get killed
If anyone is old enough, they might remember a magazine called MAD magazine. It was meant for younger people. It had little comic strips and humor inside. The characters in the comics had the look of those caricatures you will see at Six Flags, where the artists draws you with the big heads and small bodies. They would occasionally parody popular movies when they would come out, like the Star Wars movies and such. This was one of those movies that they parodied. And it probably was the only MAD magazine I ever bought. But I will always remember it because it was hilarious. One of the parts of the comic strip was the scene where they all open fire in the forest, hoping they might hit the predator. So it shows them just blasting away. And in the next part it shows a really high far away view and the team is standing in the middle of a forest that was just leveled completely. There was nothing but stumps and some random bushes here and there, and one little tree that was still standing. But behind that one little tree, the predator peeks around it and says......"HA HA, YOU MISSED ME!!" Now every time I watch that scene in the movie, I think about that comic strip and laugh.
I always assumed the studio demanded the alien ship shot at the beginning. It IS an insult to our intelligence and waters down the reveal of the Predator as we slowly figure it out during the movie. The remake of "The Thing" was the same way with the opening shot of the space ship, and I also assume that was a studio demand because it's in the studio exec job description everywhere to treat the audience like they're idiots who need everything spoonfed to them.
I was probably 7 when i first saw this movie back in the day. im 42 now and ive loved it ever since!!! I don't remember if my dad either rented it or we watched it on hbo lol. Love your channel and i love you guys!!!
The thing ship looked a bit wrecked, like there was a problem and had to just land somewhere. It seemed like it didnt really want to be on earth. Just survive until it can find a way out.
@@martinsandt1135 no I've watched quite alot on the thing, explain the actual organism. Read the book, who goes there. I don't know where you got that it visited many times before. That was definitely not in the movie, and that ship was definitely fucked up
Recent reaction videos in general are being edited wrong, cutting out half of a relevant scene. Your editor cut out "You got time to duck?". It's like telling a joke without delivering the punchline. This is happening more and more on RU-vid, and I can't stand it. "Why don't you become a patron and access the full reaction?". 2 reasons. 1: I can't afford it. 2: Even if I could, I can't set up my gear to be able to watch both the reaction and a copy of the film at the same time. Even though your TROPIC THUNDER one was great, I can't continue watching this video. Have a good one 😀
Not to be that guy but………when the girl talks about the “trophies of man”, it was translated to include “demon” in it but she never said “demonio” which literally means demon. Not to be that guy but I hate when they do that. Makes me think all subtitles I read, they’re just taking liberties. Not to be that guy tho.
