I haven't been that into the Owl City singles and I'm as big of a fan as you, but I'm hoping the deep cuts will be more appealing to me, I've heard there'll be 13 tracks in total, really exciting that the album is coming out sooner than I thought though, I expected a summer release like most of his albums. Other artists/bands I'm looking forward to dropping music this year you didn't mention in the video: Philter (My most anticipated, I've loved all the singles) Jimmy Eat World (Also loved all the singles) Sum 41 (My favorite band and pretty certain they'll drop their double album this year) Linkin Park (Meteora 20th anniversary) Waterparks (Didn't love all the singles but hoping it's gonna be a decent album still) Blink-182 (Same reason as Waterparks but only 1 single so far) Bands I hope are releasing music this year but it's not confirmed: Bring Me The Horizon The Strokes Radiohead Avenged Sevenfold Pendulum Twenty One Pilots This will be a very good year for music 😋
I think the singles are always the weakest songs on OC albums so if you haven’t enjoyed them as much then there’s still hope 😂 I can’t get Kelly Time off repeat!
You said it because grocery just sounds cooler lol haha. I always thought 'garbage' sounds better than the British 'rubbish' too but it is what it is, I don't make the rules lol. NICK MASON is touring this year 2023 in Europe. As you must know Mary, i'm sure you do, Nick has his own band which he set up in 2018 called Nick Mason's A Saucerful Of Secrets (Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet is also one of the members of this band) where he performs old Pink Floyd songs!!!!. Check out there the Nick Mason's A Saucerful Of Secrets website! Only 6 or 7 countries in Europe have been announced so far and I'm praying, hoping, the UK will be added on to that list!!!! So giving you the heads up on that!
Hi Mary, I'm just curious, have you heard of the band Sleep Token? Their popularity has gone through the roofs recently and I think they're releasing an album this year.
hey Mary, I dunno if you know, but OWL CITY is actual from my home state of Minnesota. Although I think he gets more attention in other places, unlike say Prince or Bob Dylan, who also are from Minnesota. I was going to as you though, given you are so into Metallica, did you listen to the BLACKLIST? And specifically, the fantastic hard rock trio of sister THE WARNING and their cover of Enter Sandman (with Alesia Cara). It's a great cover, and actually have introduced The Warning to many new fans of late. If you don't know The Warning, I wonder if you'd enjoy them. They're also big fans of MUSE if you know (which I think you may be a fan?). As far a 2023 albums? I just made a Preview video myself on my channel the other day. Not a ton of new titles out yet, or even confirmed; Kimbra, Black Belt Eagle Scout. Peter Gabriel Jon Anderson Mutemath-related: Paul Meany and DK the Drummer Steven Wilson and then a lot of potential/likely's: SMALL LEAKS SINK SHIPS may be my biggest anticipation. Avenged Sevenfold Bend Sinister Capital Cities Childish Japes - Double Album featuring Joanna Peters Dirty Loops Dream Theater Dream the Electric Sleep dredg A Formal Horse Giant Sky Honorary Astronaut Hotel of the Laughing Tree (Winter) In Vain Karnivool Mayer Hawthorne Neverending White Lights - Act IV The Protomen Radical Face Ray Alder Run Rivers sElf Small Leaks Sink Ships The Bird & the Bee The Ocean The Reign of Kindo - Wither & Bloom (possible title) Weather Systems Yes
That’s so cool!! His early music always made me want to visit Minnesota because of how beautiful it sounds there 🥹 And yes I have listened to The Blacklist - my favourites are Ghost’s Enter Sandman and Miley Cyrus’ Nothing Else Matters!
Paramore will be good, like the singles. Like alot of ppl i've been enjoying the new songs from Sleep Token ...and i thought Trent was your favorite artist of all time!?
@@marysmusictaste not gonna lie, thats kinda of "weird" since NIN is Trent Reznor, well it was but tbh ever since Atticus Ross started working full time with Trent, i didn't really like the albums they made!
The new Metallica one sounds so watered down and uninspiring. It's all a bit too nice, for my taste. They'll put on a good show, though. They always bring it live. I'm looking forward to the new Paramore one. They always deliver.
