This has to be my favorite video so far. Andrew, the editor for Hedron Rockworks, came to town and helped film this video. While I had an eye on cutting the die Andrew was capturing amazing footage over my shoulder. I hope you enjoy watching as much as we did crafting.

The star reminds me of a New Year ornament. I’m from Russia, and it’s still fairly common to put a red star on the top of the fir tree when decorating (instead of something like an angel - religion being banned for a while there in the 20th century). When the light was catching the facets and the red star glowed it reminded me of when I was a child, looking up at the decorated tree in anticipation of presents. Beautiful.

So much "satisfying DIY" content out there is silent or overly focuses on quick glamour shots. I really appreciate that you show the full process, both in the shooting and in the editing. The fact that you even show the mistakes and setbacks is extremely appreciated, too 😊

That is probably one of the most impressive dice you have ever made. And Andrew’s editing of this video was immaculate! Great job both of you

I'm awestruck at the level of effort and care you put into every die! The level of geometry you do for this is beyond me!

When I say I was in awe for this entire video. I mean it. The die alone is insanely beautiful and the imperfections make it even more-so. Andrew's editing left me speechless, as well. I've edited videos in small increments and the level of detail regarding key-framing and bringing detail to life in terms of lighting, camera work, and cutting and pasting together bits is ridiculous. Both of you did exceptional work with this one! Beautifully and masterfully done!

I love the inclusions. I want to record an entire session to learn how he does this. Im the fool that would buy the equipment just as a hobby.

Okay, how about this-- Make one of those aluminum foil balls, polish it, and make an amazing D20 out of it. You rock. Love your art.

Probably better to just use a solid chunk of aluminum, a foil ball can be polished down to shine but it's still not solid so when you start shaping it into a die it's gonna fall apart.

@@lightmagickNope, gotta make the foil ball, otherwise it’s just a chunk of aluminum. We want magic. We want shiny foil ball

This is certainly the best video I've ever seen of gem cutting, a true work of art.
