But everyone knows this tank is one of the most OP tanks in the game, second only to the Churchill Game* Carrier.

My biggest Nemesis! My first tier 4. This tank made me stop playing the game after a month back in 2012. It took me 2 years to get back LOL. It is so unfriendly to a new player.

The number of times I’ve bought and sold and bought and sold etc this tank is insane

Its funny, the M7 was the one dropping rounds around you when you were "camping" (his words) but loved you when you carried the game. lol

Pretty sure it was the "friendly" M7 that was "blind" firing at you...

I actually enjoyed my grind in the M3 Lee.

Considering that it has been like 3 years since the Halloween event where we got tanks with two turrets I am really surprised that tanks like the M3 Lee still don't have an operational second turret I hope it's introduced in the near future but anyways very good job on the daily uploads quackybaby keep up the good work

The M3 Lee for me was quite fun, somehow I always bounced Hetzers with the 105

Felt like I started getting comfortable with it just before the next tank was researched. Still sold it immediately....

I get the feeling that 'blind fire' was actually the M7 Priest. Friendly fire's gone and low-level howitzers don't stun, right?

I never had any issues playing the Lee. I learned to play it like a TD early on and to find hull down areas, even though the turret shows, to hide the hull. Once you unlock the top gun you can shred vehicles and grind it pretty fast.

5:50 when the priest says nice....ya that's fun and all that he did, but he was yelling at the team the whole game and being toxic

Ironically enough the Grant was one of my first mastery medals.

I had fun with this thing once i realised, screw being a td, be a flanking medium.... I got quite a few top guns with it... absolute beast if you get tier 4. I could fire like 30 rounds per minute

Ah the Lee I remember one shotting these things when I was driving the IS back in the early days

I really like the Lee and Grant, it's quirky, and the M3 gun is respectable at T4 and the HE nukes T3s and some T4s. The quickfire on the Grant's really iffy though - the benefits are too circumstantial. The biggest frustration is that it's a "first" tank for the playerbase, which means low spec no-skill/perk crews.

I really love the M3 Lee. I just play it as a Tank Destroyer to be honest though. Probably helps I have 60%+ winrate on it too.

OK, QB, no more M3 Lee, we promise. Grant from now on, since you're British you'll like that better! ;)

All i can say is watching these videos is the only thing that keeps me playing WoT. I am completely trash at the game and it gets to me at times but then i watch a quicky video and im back in the game ready for more frustration.

With this tank I grinded out the first m4a1 Sherman, it was actually kinda fast because I had 2 parts of the blueprint for the Sherman so it only cost me 9000 XP and I didn't have any problems with the m3 Lee, it's actually kinda fun to play.

This tank is so OP that it got removed from WoT Blitz(mobile version)

The Lee would actually be pretty decent if we could make use of the 37mm turret.

You play the Lee like a turretless tank destroyer.If you charge out into the middle of the enemy, or move through the open, you'll just get flanked and destroyed because you can't get your gun around fast enough to get a shot off. You have to engage at longer ranges so you can keep the enemies in front of you. Extending your view range and camo as much as possible is a big help.

I had the same relationship with the duck, but when I unlocked and got amazed with ELC, I felt bad and rebuy AMX 40, loaded full HEAT and make it the most happy duck

M3 Lee is the best tank, you know it too, QB...

Me recently using it: SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE AHHHHH I NEVER WANNA USE THIS TANK AGAIN I GOT THE SHERMAN, PLEASE! JUST DO NOT USE THIS TANK PLEASE YOU WILL GO CRAZY. Also I play WarThunder yes yes I know you can use it's top turrets just not in World of Tanks.

Even if that shell went a teensy bit higher, that lower armor piece on the front end of the Lee is actually reasonably strong. He could have aimed literally anywhere else, but he's probably used to firing at lower plates.

Its important to remember that the M3 Lee can also ram extremely well against most tier IVs, as it has good power to weight and enough frontal armor to make the ram not too troubling for you.

That's really the tank that made me hold the American heavy tank tree branch back for a long time. I despised it

I'm trying to max out my lee with 50% HE to make things interesting. In north Africa a lot of lee's played improvised arty by parking on steep slopes. It worked. But the biggest success was the lee unit that took out 10 German tanks while not even being there. They had built sand bagged heaps to hide the lees week spots. Then the unit was moved the Germans attacked their old position at night and then found them selves out of position and flanked by AT guns. The Germans thought it was the lees fighting back and never got a shot off at the AT guns.

I enjoy the Wolverine with the 105mm and all HE load out. Play that one sometime.

Back then, the M3 Lee is a painful pre-requisite if you want to advance into the Tier V M4A1 Sherman. Now, it's just a reason to receive send you post-game hate mail from enemies...

Oh the memories of grinding through this tank when I first started, I would face a KV1 and it was game over, such a light tier 4.

You summed up exactly why I stopped playing a game I still would love to enjoy. Playing it stock, with an unskilled crew and no consumables. That's the experience of EVERY new(ish) player. It's bad enough learning how to play whilst facing better players without those better, more experienced players, driving upgraded tanks with fully skilled crews!

Years ago when I had to grind through this tank, I didn't like it either. Then I figured out to just peak around the corner with only the right side of the tank which shows only the gun and aim to left with the said gun. After that I started to like that tank because then it became almost indestructible.

It actually didnt give me too much of a problem when I went through it but it definitely isn't a nice tank and I was very happy when I sold it. Knowing that you shouldn't expect so much from it made it better for me to play lol.

Very good aim time and good dpm. Just don't too close to the enemy and avoid ridge line.

Im know historian but i am a player, and your videos helped me understand how to look at the game and its mechanics. ive been able to play better because of it. Thanks.

You know what would be cool? If aside from double barrels we had multi turret or multi guns mechanics, like that Halloween event with the multi turreted tanks that were aimed with mouse but you fired main gun normally and secondary gun with left Ctrl I believe or Alt, things like the Lee and Grant will surely change a bit, also half the Japanese tanks, also the Maus and the E 100, and I'm sure there are more

Hated the grind in the M3 Lee, but surprisingly loved playing the Grant in the British tree.

Took me a long time of playing this game to realize just how killer that gun is though

IF I am not mistaken and remember correctly, War Thunder is also featuring this tank BUT, there you are able to use the turret as well

I remember during my lee grind getting quite good with it by the end. One of the first tanks I was getting 4-5 k games frequently in. Since I've tried going back with little success... guess you gotta know your limits pretty well with it.

The current view range of the m3 lee is amongst the best of the tier. When you first burned through your m3 lee it was facing TDs pre view range nerf. It now outview ranges all of them except for the pak-40.

Somehow, I never minded the Lee. The gun worked well enough. The thing that I really CANNOT abide is tanks with weak guns - looking at you, AMX 40.

The Lee is not your typical player's seal clubbing machine. You make it look easy :D.

Don't forget the Grant..... cripes these two tanks where a grind.

M3 Lee is actually one of my favorite tanks. It's fun when you own with it.

I played the M3 Lee to Prestige back in the day to get the M4, T1 Heavy, & the arty (forget which one that was in 2011). This was my first Tier 4 tank overall.

QB can u please show a video on how you play stock tanks and how u grind them as quickly as possible?

What would you put on to the French teir 5 medium G1 R. I right now have a camouflage net and binoculars and gun rammer. What would you use QuickyBaby.

M3 Lee is the only US medium tank that I don't have in my garage. I still have the T2, M2, all of the M4's (tier 5 & 6), and onward. I despised the game play in that tank so much when I got the M4 Sherman I sold the Lee and never touched it again, not even on a dare, 7 years and counting. There are few tanks in WoT that occupy the same space as the Lee in my mind. Even the M56 Scorpion has features that make it a far more playable vehicle than the Lee. I find nothing redeeming in the Lee and I cannot imagine the courage it took for real people to jump inside and ride it into battle.

The worst thing about the m3 Lee is you HAVE to play it at tier 4 to unlock two tanks. The M4 Sherman and the T1 heavy, and those tanks lead to the American medium and heavy line that have some good tanks. It is a slog in a user unfriendly tank.

I think WG really missed an opportunity, so far, with double barreled tanks. The main issue I see with the lee is that the top turret is useless and normally has to get exposed to use the main, functioning, gun. I remember getting a kill on a Lee one game in the Rudy for this very reason. They should have did what Gaijin did with the Lee and have both guns as an option to use with the double barrel thing.

Good lord, that music at the end tho.... I generally mute the in-game music so I can listen to Spotify, but when I started the game in 2013 that music would get so stuck in my head.

I enjoey the M3 in WoT, I enjoyed it in WarThunder and plot twist the british army had great success with the M3 in the desert campaign while it was still relevant as a tank engaging mostly P3 and P4 only at that time.

I actually hate the British grant more. Of course 3 weeks after grinding through the M3 lee they added the option to skip it altogether lmao

I went through the M3Lee pretty quickly. Had some good games in it. Actually enjoyed it. That gun is pretty awesome at Tier 4.

What kind of computer specs do you run for the videos, the scene where the at fires under you is pretty intense.

I still have my original M3 Lee. Play it often and love it. Of course it's not really a tank. It's actually a TD that just thinks it's a tank. With the rapid reload and the decent gun (for Tier 4) it can club the stew out of some seals.

I wish you could use both turrets at the same time like they did in last year's Halloween event

Quickybaby, you should do some kind of stat fixing challenge where you have to go through all the tanks in your history where for whatever reason you had bad stats in and try to fix it by playing them now

Hey QB and everyone else! With the double barrelled tanks coming, do you think multi gunned vehicles such as the Lee/Grant or the B1 will make use of their extra guns? (Lee/Grant using the turret and B1 using the hull mounted howitzer)

Just starting out playing online games a year ago and WOT was what I chose. I also didn't like the Lee because it didn't have a turret and I bypassed it after 3 or 4 games. Back then I let other's opinions influence me and it seemed that everyone hated the DW2 as well. So, naturally I hated grinding it like they did. Now a year later I find that the DW2 is a fairly decent tank if you know how to play it. The same could be said for my Valentine II. When it was first given to me I had never heard of it, so I reviewed it. So many people hated it because of it's weak gun and slow mobility. But, as time passed I found myself going to it to complete more and more missions. Now it's my top tank with a 5+ skill crew, a 100% gold loadout and a kickass flame paint job! I regularly get High Caliber with 1,500 to 2,000 damage and averaging 3.2 kills per game. So, don't let others influence how you feel about a tank. Play it like you know how and THEN make up your mind! Good hunting!

This mutant has approx 2.8K DPM when fully equipped with cola, vents, gun rammer, BIA etc.

i just got the tank i was kinda happy because i did play warthunder and it was fun kinda but in this game i was expected to use the 37mm looking for the control to use the gun and couldnt find it ... this grind for the t1 is gonna be a pain

Don't feel bad about bouncing shells on the AMX 40. The Duck is mighty and knows no fear.

There are tactical reasons too mounting the gun on the far side of the vehicle. Imagine side scraping with a tier 10 heavy and a gun mounted on the far side of the vehicle
