The M3 Lee is the opitome of: "Switching to your secondary is faster than reloading".

I have around 15 hours in the game and this man probably double all of my collective kills in a single video spread across 4 matches

Just got this tank yesterday, decided to ask you to do it this morning

I was playing this on one of those factory maps and i got stuck on the bases of the gurdurs that go into the air inside the buildings and nobody helped me, i was there a good two minutes and saw multiple enemies drive past me, however i was able to hit some because the turret was tall enough to see over the wall and out the window

thank you for playing my favorite tank, the M3 Grant/Lee. I have the soviet one and it confuses people. If the M3 had a .50 it would be god tier. ps. with your health issues it's great too see you having an absolute blast at work

Seeing this thing in action reminds me of a quote: "The 75 is firing, the 37 is firing but traversed the wrong way. The browning is jammed. The M3 Lee gives me brain damage whenever I look at it. Truly one of the armoured fighting vehicles of all time

The M3 lee was really underrated but was a pretty good design for being rushed to help in Africa and was a great stopping gap before the Sherman was in production.

The M3 Lee will always have a place in my heart thanks to the suffering it caused me in World of Tanks, but in Warthunder its much better. Having the 75 and the 37 bound to different buttons lets you combo vehicles and deal with multiple target much better than if you just had one to the other

Back then I was like everyone, hated the M3 Lee for it's ugliness, but some enlightened soul told me that the M3 Lee is basically a StuG with a secondary and it changed my entire playstyle for this. Still remains a nice tank to run

Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has. As a GuP fan, it's nice seeing the M3 Lee doing something. Sure, they're a bunch of first year students, but Rabbit Team has heart.

I used to hate the m3 Lee because in WoT you could only use the 75 mm cannon and ugh what a horror but after playing war thunder all those problems disappeared, well most of them.

Used to play this with a friend on Lee-Grant-Stuart lineups for multiple hours a day for nearly a week straight some number of years ago. We were destroying teams left and right consistently. I suspect we had a serious hand in why the Lee and Grant were raised in BR from 2.3 to 2.7. We didn't play it for much longer after the change. But I still come back to it every once in a while. Edit: We would play Arcade battles.

Spook I'd love to see you play the Ikv 103, a tank with a 400mm pen shell at 4.0 br. It's seriously a blast, and as always great video!

Recent technological advances in computing and physics have convinced me of a few things. One, that time travel is possible. Two, that a computer capable of running an AI art generation client was sent back in time and engineers in the US in 1938 asked it "Show a picture of the perfect tank", and thus it generated the M3 Lee.

I absolutely love the British variant, The Grant. The up-armored turret, better shape. and lack of a commander cupola really sells it for me.

To my memory bad reputation comes from eastern front due to 2 factors: 1)tank was sent to formations with other medium tanks and it's unique configuration wasn't taken into account. As such hastily trained crews had no idea how to operate it effectively; 2)the arrival of M3 to USSR was happening AFTER someone decided that it was a great idea to weld the side doors shut for extra protection from german 37mm guns. As a result tanks had 2 less escape hatches then in earlier american and british service. Which lead to even fewer skilled crews that operated it

The M3 is so good, I love it SO much. It's armor holds up surprisingly well.

Its about time this machine got the recognition it deserves

When it released I'm pretty sure it was something silly like 1.7 or 2.0. It was almost literally invincible in a downtier. I remember being surrounded by 2 Pz.IIs, 2 Pz.IIIs with the stubby 37, and a Pz.IV with the stubby 75. No one knew where to shoot, what to shoot, and I could basically do two handed pistol shooting in front of me and all around me with the 37. It was so absurd

My favorite “stratagem” with the Lee was to park myself on the corner of a building so that only the 75 was poking around it. Many players at that tier wouldn’t see me because I only had about 1/3 of the silhouette

M3 lee, for a tank that was made to be a stopgap, did really well for what it was made for and it’s always nice to see it be appreciated

It was a cool tank, mostly forgotten due to being a stopgap for a medium tank with a decent gun in a turret but it was appreciated over here (even if we wanted it built to a slightly different spec...)

I love the Lee, and to be honest, I don't mind the strange look; I think it gives it character.

It would be great if they would add the later models of Lee like they had planned in the original planned US ground tree.

In my experience it's incredibly bad in the average players hands, compared to say a Sherman or panzer, but it can be good with a lot of experience

To be honest its one of my favorite tanks, always got 3-4 kills with it when i was having a bad match with 0-1 kills

By default in war thunder both primary and secondary cannon are set to left mouse button which is realy dumb. I highly recommend to rebind it. Most people put primary cannon on left mouse and secondary on middle mouse (pressing down on the mousewheel) but I have secondary cannon on mouse button 4 of my gaming mouse. It works super well. If you do so the M3 Lee becomes genuinely unstoppable. Being able to comfortably shoot both gun and switch between them quickly is just incredible.

Watching spookston actually having fun while playing a tank is a really nice change, keep up the great work!

Not only was this an underrated tank, it was the basis for the western workhorse. The Lee was where this platform got its first taste of combat

It's amazing how much damage World of Tanks has done to the M3 Lee's reputation, despite it being so valuable in the North Africa campaign

The M3 Lee was the first tank to achieve an ace in for me personally, really loved it. Maybe it's time to bring it back on🎉

Why do people correct you on the way you say cupola? The way you say it is closer to the original way it’s supposed to be said anyways. The word is from Italian, it means dome. And it’s pronounced like koo-po-la, which is not too far from kew-po-la, and certainly better than kew-poe-la which is not even stressing the right syllables.. oh well great gameplay though the M3 is a beast

So how about day 6 of asking for the ARL-44? Paper thin armor, mediocre mobility, and only OK firepower makes for one totally wonderful War Thunder experience.

You can actually pen the 122 with the 37 around the mantlet from the front :) its a bit fucky but if hes chasing you it works pretty well (better with aphe ofc)

You love the 75mil? Well then you should love the Strv m/42 EH, that things 75 mil APHE is amazing.

In world of tanks? Yeah this thing fucking blows. … Warrhunder however, this thing slaps and I love it. Historically a nice center stage tank until the M4s came online, the M3 did its job, and it did it amicably.

Day four of being in spookston's walls, im hearing noises in the dark, i fear i am not alone here.

I like when it first came out and the M3 could not really kill other M3s and there were loads of M3 vs M3 matchups. The dogpiles of M3 tanks that would happen was legendary.

If not for the M3 Lee, the M4 Sherman could've turned out a much wackier tank than what we got. It would've had the dumb side doors and the MG Cupola. Plus, it Kick-started the US war industry so thats not to be understated BTW Im stealing that Aussie Canister Shot line for my own video on M3 Lee Variants

I really like the Lee. Ive learned to appreciate it. The stories of it in the pacific are really interesting. So much canister shot. You have a great day spookston, try arcade when you have time

Only five minutes in and my thoughts can be summed up in the expression; “seal clubbing” To elaborate: Spookston sitting just in front of the spawn, just ending all of the poor, unfortunate low tier papier-mâché tanks driving by was much like watching that of a old-timey fox hunter stand outside the fox den, punting each and every one of the pups who come tottering out.
