I just wanted to tell you, I've been watching you for a few years now. I don't think there is anyone else on RU-vid that is as naturally, classically beautiful as you are! There is a surplus of 'manufactured' beauty to be found in our society today...but you are a true beauty!

Great idea Tammy and glad it is tagging so we can find out many more products that really work! My surprising products in 2016: 1. With extremely sensitive and reactive skin to so many products Paula's choice 2% liquid BHA and 5% Resist AHA did what tons of other products couldn't! No irritation, radiant and smooth skin, black heads on my nose (I hated magnifying mirrors cause of them!) are past perfect tense and pores appear smaller as they are clean! 2. Living Proof humidity Shield: no more frizzy hair, frustration, tons of products to tame it, hairsprays...Don't care any more about rain and 80-95% humidity, it stays put, the way I style it!

I have discovered youtube some months back and you and Angie @hotandflashy have made a difference in my life. I had completely gave up on skincare and makeup few years back but now with all your advises geared up to us "mature" girls I have gotten back in the game. My skin is looking way better and my makeup is actually making me looking better and not like an old tart. Thanks from your southern home.

Tammy I am learning so much from you. I am new to the video tutorials so I must learn about tagging, etc., but I now have a "Tammy Notebook" for ideas and products. I don't know if this is useful for further videos, but I use products from a company called Elysee. I like them very much. They are facial creams, and at 61 I feel they improve my skin. Anyway, what a joy it is to watch your videos and learn. You are gorgeous and SMART. Thank you.

So I thought about my most surprising product of 2016 was .....and there are a few. 2016 I discovered Andalou Natural skincare at Whole Foods. I bought the foaming facial cleanser with coconut water and hyralaunic acid and I loved it. Such a hydrating yet thorough cleanse. Also, other products I was surprised by.....Nivea extra firming body lotion, Chantecaille rose lifting serum (wow!), By Terry lip balm (I can't live without) and the body butters from the Body Shop.....obsessed with the coconut. Hey, I bought the same Andalou Naturals cleanser too this year and was so pleasantly surprised it was so good. Non drying but cleans well. This is my morning cleanser. I'll have to try the other products that you mentioned.

I will look for the Andalou Products...the one I bought I did not care for ....I think I just ordered the Chantecaille Rose Serum from Michele at NM...I got the box just before we left for Florida, I know it is a Rose Oil...Michele loves it...now I am really excited to try it...thanks for sharing.

uppiesbeads59 oh no!! Tammy I made a mistake! The Rose lifting serum is by Omorovizca, not Chantecaille! Oops. I got it mixed up with the Chantecaille eye cream that I'm loving. But the Rose lifting serum I ADORE is by Omorovizca, an amazing skin care line from Budapest. You can get it at Nordstrom. The entire line is amazing, even the mask. Xoxo:)

I am just going to admit that I cannot afford a lot of what you recommend, but I take notes. I believe you when you talk about how dry you are. I have something called Sjogren's Syndrome....and I feel like the Sahara most days....some of the things you mention I am able to find and use, and I thank you for the suggestions!

Sharon Hughes I have Sjogrens also....I am very ill from mine. The dryness is a constant battle as you know, I have has it for 25+ years but the severe illness part didn't really hit until 15 or so years ago. You know the battle....my eyes are my worst, thankfully they came out with a new Rex eye drop a few months ago, I've been waiting 12 years for it.

I was diagnosed quite a long time ago too....my eyes have taken a beating....but I ended up losing my teeth, though I put in much time and money, they were hit below the gum line....and they looked really good! Oh well, you do your best to get through the days.....I have extreme tiredness that I am battling now....they are wondering about Lupus.....hoping not though! I just had cataract surgery in both eyes too. What is sad is that those with this illness look so well in their suffering!

I've already told you, but The Ordinary products are extraordinary! My second order, so that I don't run out, arrived today. The Beauty Junkee sponges are pretty good, although they leave little pieces of black sponge behind on my face, but the Real Techniques sponges are my go to. Oldie but goodies- which I have recently gone back to, are Therapy and Humectress shampoo & conditioner from Nexus.

Most surprising products...The Ordinary Line from Deciem as well as NIOD Sanskrit Saponins Cleanser, Myrrh Mud Mask and Mastic Must. Picked up the trio in a bundle on black friday. They're so different and exotic. The Peter Thomas Roth Acne Dots...great if you suffer from those hormonal breakouts that never seem to heal. Use at night on dry skin and they're greatly reduced by morning. Gone in a few day with continued use. Just bought a set of 2 beauty sponges by Ecotools, $9.99 for two different sizes and only available at Ulta in store right now. Really nice dupe for the beauty blender and they're vegan! They also have that slant cut like the RT sponge. You might want to try Nail Butter for your dry nails. Love it! Also cruelty free and Leaping Bunny certified! Bisous!

Great rundown of products! For me, the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette was surprisingly good and the Estee Lauder silver sheet masks, the Beenigma cream, the May Coop Raw Sauce, the Boscia Black Thermal Cleanser, the Jules and Esther Vitamin C serum, the Sephora makeup sponge and the L'Oreal Pro-Glow foundation.

My most surprising products for 2016, are the Sunday Riley line. My favorite by far is the LUNA Sleeping Night Oil. Good Genes is okay as well, but the sleeping oil, is fantastic for my skin.

For me the most surprising products have been from Deciem's the ordinary line - serums, oils etc that have the ingredients I'm looking for at affordable prices. This has enabled me to continue using an extensive skincare regime without the large amount of money I used to spend. My financial circumstances changed a couple of years ago and I have had to curb my spending on beauty products (I used to be a fulltime RGN/RN but I'm now disabled). I also started using Retin A this year and very surprisingly my dry/eczema prone skin has handled it (used carefully and lessened during the Scottish winter). My eczema is the worst it has ever been this winter (thank you menopause), so I'm using prescription bodycare including careful use of steroid ointments and a complete ban on sulphates of any kind on face/body. So far my face remains unaffected which is probably due to the multiple layers of facial skincare. Lots of lovely recommendations in this video and I wish cereve was easier to get here - it's only available from Amazon and often at inflated prices. Best wishes.

Hi Tammy, I use Liz Earle hot cloth cleanse and polish and super youth retinol moisturiser at night. Gatineau melatogenine future plus in the morning with vitamin c then Elemis moisturiser. love these products.The perfume I have been wearing in the day is Miller Harris Rose Silence. Thank you. xx

Most surprising Ceramide Moisturizer, by Skederm is Exhydro. I love this cream. I use it on face and neck as well as hands.. Not greasy or tacky feeling. Goes on and absorbs rapidly. Multi Ceramide types 3,6 and 9. Plus Natural extracts. I love this stuff!!! It has really helped hydrate my face and hands. I cannot believe I am using it on both face and hands. But I am. Really inexpensive as well.

The Revitalash products were my absolute best find in 2016 based on your recommendation, Tammy! I have gotten a lot of compliments lately on my lashes and the product works wonders. I looked at my high school yearbook photo and my lashes are as long as they were then (it's been a very long time). So far I'm loving the Revitalash brow serum too. You look beautiful. I love that you talk about skincare products because not very many RU-vid channels do. One day would you talk about how you are able to use retinol products with ceramides, hyralunic acid, etc.? Anytime I use CeraVe and a retinol product, I get a huge breakout. I am blown away by many products by Deciem such as: that retin oil, hand chemistry hand cream, grow gorgeous hair products (they are Full of hyaluronic acid) and many serums. I am also trying one of their Fountain nutritional supplements with collagen. I look forward to your review of the line.

@uppiesbeads59 Two things: 1) I've seen Alba Botanica at Feel-rite shops here in the Buffalo, NY area, and occasionally at a target near me. 2) Been looking for a worthy serum, and I took your recommendation & got the Raw Sauce-- LOVE it. Thank you, because until I heard someone over 50 giving it a good review, I wasn't sure about trying it. I have terribly sensitive reactive skin, and this not only calms it but hydrates and prepares skin for moisturizer so well.

Hi !! My biggest surprise for 2016 is the Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Oil.. I am 56, and have been using DHC products for 15 years (way before double cleansing and face oils made mainstream) I have used the Luna oil for a month so far and see a big difference in smoothness and brightness.. In this case I was pleased that I had chosen a product that you reviewed well. Thanks for all your insight.. happy Holidays

Great video! Some of these products I use as well. I too have very dry, itchy and sensitive skin all over. For my face, I just bought the Belief Aqua Bomb and was pleasantly surprised with how hydrating it is, especially with the May Coop Raw Sauce! I bought the holiday set and received the hydrating water and eye cream as well!

I purchased Revitalash Serum after viewing one of your previous videos. I love it so much! I have used other lash lengthening products, but Revitalash is by far superior. My lashes are both longer, thicker, and healthier. Also, I purchased the Alba sugar scrub at my neighborhood CVS ( California). I have very dry skin and love this product when I'm rushed! Ive seen the Alba brand at my TJ Maxx...not sure which ones but it might be worth looking there. All great recommendations and I am using the revitalash per your recommendation earlier in the year. Love all of your videos and look forward to seeing more in the new year....Happy New Year Tammy!!

Pixi Glow Tonic has been my biggest surprise of 2016, such gentle but effective exfoliation especially on my hands! I have also managed to completely repair a sun damaged décolleté using only Pixi Glow Tonic, homemade Vitamin C serum and rose hip oil! My best find was Ed Hardy 'Love & Luck' fragrance having coveted a bottle of Creed 'Millesime Imperial' for years but been denied the pleasure because of the price and longevity, it smells the same and lasts. Yay! My mission for 2017 is to find a dupe/replacement for my favourite (discontinued) Jo Malone Black Vetyver Cafe! Fab idea for a video/tag Tammy oxox

I cannot imagine not using Revitalash serum. It has made a huge difference in how I feel about myself. Having thick full lashes makes all the difference in the world. My 2016 products are the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C serum, it works better than the home made recipe you gave us a couple of years ago. That and Good Genes have really made a difference. My discovery of 2016 was NIOD skincare line...i m in LOOOOVE with their products...i was absolutely blown away...Drunk elephant C firma was a huge miss for me...it broke me out with painful cystic acne and dried out my skin bad time.

Hello Miss Tammy, I bought Milani bella gel powder shadow (single) on a whim and I love it. I already have backups of my favorite shades and it is under $5. This was a huge surprise to find such good quality for the price. You might want to try the Bliss Kiss Pure Oil nail pens. They are handy to take along and contain Jojoba oil as the #1 ingredient. I cannot be without it during the day. Jojoba has done wonders for my dry cuticles and nails. You are 100% correct about what it can do for rehydration.

My favorite surprise of 2016 was Lancome's lip balm ~ ABSOLUE PRECIOUS CELLS NOURISHING LIP BALM. It is pricey, but definitely worth it! I put it on at night when I go to bed. Wake up to soft and moisturized lips. LOVE!

I love the May Coop raw sauce and the Drunk Elephant serum!!!! Its an every day necessity! Trilogy Rosehip Oil (from their website, Whole Foods or Amazon) is my favorite 2017 skincare product. Rosehip oil has anti aging properties, hydrates and plumps - and absorbs into the skin nicely.

I have started to use masks now. When buying them now I have a picture of your mask covered face in my head. Thank you for all the tips and tricks you give us. I find all your tips help and work with less high end products just as well so that is lovely for me! I wonder if you could give us some tips with fragrance, I have found some fragrances start to smell just off on me after awhile even rather expensive brands. Tammy, just wanted to pop in and say that I use a mixture of jojoba and Squalene in my nail treatment mix, Squalene can be bought on Amazon, just be sure to get a quality cold pressed product, it is made from olives, it is a little less oily than the jojoba, so I use less jojoba to Squalene mixture, Squalene works miracles for my nails, I never want to be without it, I also take 10,000 mcg Biotin in gel form daily, together I found my winner! hope you have a fabulous and safe new year, I love your videos, it is so refreshing to see someone my age to relate to! oh and you are to blame for my Revitalash habit ( I have to justify the expense haha! )

I wish you would do a new hair video from shampoo to the end. My mature hair is long too. I already use the M root boost and the Living Proof night cap. My biggest surprise this year was a BB cream from L'Oreal called Magic BB , I use medium. It's great for a no makeup look that looks good. Your skin looks like velvet. I was also surprised by the results from Rose Hip oil ...immediate results!!!

The length and depth of the wrinkles around your lips TREMENDOUSLY improved since 2015. Some of them even vanished completely. What did you do through that year to come up with shocking results like that ?? It is Outstanding !! I have never seen results like this without lifts.

I think the lighting really blurs them...I have the same lines...I have been treating my lips with all of my serums and treatments...I think lip lines are a losing battle because we use our mouth all the time...I know you can't really see them on camera...but trust me, they are still there......Thank you thou....my lips lines are my biggest pet peeve...

LOL !! I actually went as far a darkening the video !! the lighting and makeup play no role in my observation. I believe you they are still there as you are the one that looks in the mirror ;). But believe me, they are significantly less deep and long. Regardless, you are a stunning beauty and you know it :). I would totally date you and proudly walk hand in hand with you for everyone to see, and i am 31 y.o. ! I do not think it is a loosing battle, as i see significant improvements. Even though it is your biggest pet peeve, wrinkles are the fingerprints of our emotions. They are a testimony of our past emotions.

I was a licensed Manicurist for 12 years and I used Castor Oil at night on my hands and cuticles. A dab will do you!! Smells awful, works wonderfully. Its great for diabetics and cancer patients.

I gave the avene high protection compact spf 50 in beige a try and love it for an under eye concealer and for my face. I just tap it in with fingers and it doesn't cake on me. Most compact foundations are not good for sensitive skin so I was glad I found this. It looks darker in compact than it does on the face. I use mineral powder foundation but I wanted something to cover areas and this works good.
