Wow. No mention of "gansta rap" (Which hasn't been a thing in over 20 years) in the video or description, yet you had to drop 4 direct references to it just to remind everyone how racist you are.
What is so great about this is the energy, and passion, and he's just having such a good time, and you can see how proud he is of his darling daughter, oh, and the song kicks ass
school would be interesting on the monday morning... Teacher: and what did you all do over the weekend? Persia: not much, played the Albert Hall in front of a few thousand people kid is going to have some great memories
THIS IS THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE. amen. Royal Albert Hall. Wow. persistence paying off. a fan since Cars in 1979, recording it off the radio to my portable cassette player and wearing it out, mind blown.
Attended four gigs at RAH since this one. Nothing gets close to the atmosphere, lighting, sound and the crowd at this gig. RAH was packed right to the roof. Standing circle at the top was loaded with people. Mesmerising show and everyone could feel how much Gary was engaged with the audience. Huge respect for all the NIN crowd there as well. RAH was the perfect choice for this show.
Such a cool performance, and it looks like he just has a blast every single time they sing together - so much family love going on there! After 40 years, Gary Numan STILL has everything it takes to be awesome!
Gary’s got a lot to think about here - still he is the perfect dad, letting Persia know he’s there, while letting her feel the fear just enough. And Persia nails it.
Im very Proud of him...didnt know till recently he suffers from extreem phobias of people..and hes never quit all thesee years. Takes persistance to start career with number one international hit then go decades album after album(some he even calls shite)..but hes got another hit here..and he looks like hes having a blast. How many fathers can share this success with a child onstage..truely a happy time for Gary and he totally deserves this.
So cool that he is performing with his daughter. The new music is captivating. Saw Mr. Numan in the 80's at the Palladium in NYC. Thank you for posting this.
Andy, thanks for posting this. I have been a fan since I first saw Gary on TotP way back. It fills my heart with joy that he is back to his best and this song in this setting proves it. I have tears in my eyes.
Part of me suspects that Gary only made this to have these moments with his daughter. And so he wrote his best song. You can just see the energy and fun.
Gary Eaton that must have been a memorable show! I was lucky just to see iron butterfly and steppenwolf when I was 12!!! In 1992! Only certain members but I got an autograph by telling a security guard I was one of the roadies kids👍 my mom was so jealous 😎 glad to here someone on here have a great concert under their belt 🤛
.... likewise :( Looked a great and unique gig at the RAH. Saw him 3 times over last years touring and Brixton was fab (it was filmed as you may have seen now, advertised for sale). Though this would have been something special. Thanks to Andy for the UL! :)
This was truly the best gig I have ever been to. From start to finish it was exhilarating. RAH a magnificent venue for what proved to be a wonderful experience. I have never been to a gig where so many ppl talked to each other and had a good time. Gary Numan is a living legend.
@@andymiller8137 hi Andy the last time I saw Numan was 2019 and he promised a new tour no chance with all the co-vid restrictions . Sorry should have explained myself
Watch the studio performance for the Old Grey Whistle Test 2018 for much better visuals and sound. Hard to say if Persia is talented as her voice is hugely processed anyway, does she sing on anything else?
He's sweeter with his daughter on stage. they all are. THis song is a lot harder usually, but he's softening it. what a guy being sensitive to his daughter being there. the anger and fierceness is toned way down.
In some ways I think it's great that Gary Numan can have his daughter singing with him and on stage, but I would be concerned about her as I imagine there is probably a certain amount of bullying she gets from her peers for this.
Yes she is. Persia has some sort of problem with words, something like dyslexia. To remember the words on stage, she needs the lines, or reminders, on the stand that is next to her mike stand. If she was miming, they wouldnt bother. She also has very heavy effects on her voice in this track, which is why she stops singing while the sound carries on, tons of reverb. It sounds like the keyboards are ghosting her voice too.
