Gotta clarify something. For some dumb reason I thought I didn't have the tech package. This is incorrect. I don't have the "Pro-Premium" package 😂 Sorry for any confusion
@@mikesawyer1336 I don't use consumer reports because it's based on people's complaints. People complain about everything. Most of the stuff their is nitpick stuff and not major issues

Great truck after two months. Added the under cover flex which has been incredibly protective from the heavy rains lately. @@JJsGA in 2001 I bought a brand new Toyota tundra SR5 V6. It is still due this day, my driver 274,000 miles I rebuilt the front suspension shock brakes, tires, radiator, thousand miles synthetic every 6000 miles. Long story short, it will probably be the truck.
That is a beautiful truck. I went with the SV 4x4 in Super Black with the tech package since I don't plan on ever doing any "hard" 4 wheeling. My 4x4 needs are dealing with snow and the occasional rutted out logging road when I hunt in the fall so the SV was an easy fit. I love my Frontier...as an owner and/or driver of many different brands of trucks over the last 40 years I can honestly say I like the new gen Frontier more than any truck I've owned before.

@@raphaelsoniii8298 thank you! It's a bit of an underrated gem and definitely has to be the best cost to value ratio. I can't think of another truck that can be had near fully loaded for under 50k!
One of the best things you can do for your new truck or any vehicle is change oil/filter at first 1,000 miles. it flushes the break in oil and very small particles out, prolongs engine life. Than do every 4k there after.. Z-1 sells the oil service kits, all NISSAN oil and filters, great prices.
I just rolled over 1100 now. Picked up some oil and a filter. Got the Z1 magnetic drain plug and crush washer on the way. Hopefully I got them for the weekend! Although I may not have a video of that...I gotta help a buddy change struts on a journey 😅
Nice, I was looking at these in that color too, I got a Titan Pro4X because discounts really put it too close to a Frontier price for me not to look at them.
@@motorhead_jt21 they do feel solid! I'm used to the steering feel now and it's very similar to my old 2008 grand cherokee. Coming from the escape it felt heavy...not now tho
@@archie_bunker thank you! I started researching midsize trucks last year after selling my 2003 S10 Zr2. The Frontier had always been on my radar but with the 22 redesign I really began considering it.
I hope you have a long enjoyable reliable time with your new Frontier, sir ! I totally did not notice them before this 2022 redo in looks, it was like they were invisible. This latest design looks sharp, especially the Pro trim with LED headlights. I test drove one and am impressed with how quiet inside for a real truck. Ride over rough roads was quite good. I might look for a bright cheery uplifting red or blue Pro 4X slightly used. Too many cloudy gray not just days, can be entire solid weeks here in Nov., March and December, Feb., so it shall be a bright color. Around town light duty use, maybe 6,000 miles a year, mostly haul an e-bike, likely never any actual off road, I figure around $80/month for $3.30 gas. A real truck of midsize, easier to park than full size, less garage space sucked up, not so bloody high to get into. Also I REALLY like all the regular push buttons, not pages of electronic screen to try and find “virtual” buttons, which is distracted driving. I hear 2025 facelift Frontier, likely a larger 11” or 12” computer screen screwed onto the dash and some actual buttons being buried in software. That’s not my bag, too much gray hair to enjoy the thing called software.
@@Skunked68 that "Cardinal Red" they have is awesome looking. They also have a nice bright blue similar to Toyota's "Blue Crush" ... tho the name of that color eludes me at the moment... Yeah, having physical buttons for everything was one of the boxes the Frontier checked over some of the other trucks. Even the Colorado/Canyon is starting to hide controls in menu's. The quality of the interior (a subjective opinion) is pretty good and it still reminds you your in a truck. It still has that "utilitarian" feel a truck should have while giving some creature comforts and tech found in modern cars n trucks. I've always leaned function over form.
I just got the top model with leather and sunroof, rims and fender audio also. I agree, the fender system is really bad without Mid and Sub adjustments. My wifes 2020 base Honda Pilot has a subwoofer and has all of those settings and sounds better than the Fender 😂😂😂... You are the best reviewer of this truck, everything you said I agree 100%. Liked and subbed!
@@eliteexposure5594 Thank you! I had to adjust the base to basically the 3rd line from the lowest setting for it to begin to sound decent with treble maxed out. It's like fender or Nissan never bothered to balance it or even get the sound staging right. And that's huge just getting the sound staging correct as that can even make a bad system sound better
@@JJsGAI almost bought a used 2023 Titan Platinum Reserve with the Fender system. It sounded much better than the Frontier with deeper bass and better sound stage. The problem with Titans was some of them lunge forwards while youre coming to a stop and halfway on the brakes. They used the same trans as a Frontier but is much larger causing issues.
@@ZeroCool_1220 I'd have gotten the Baja Storm color but the one stipulation my wife had was we both had to like the color 🤣 So it was either Gun Grey or Tactical Green....as the dealer didn't have Tactical Green it was Gun Grey for me! Really nice truck, I had a Silverado z71 off road, 2016, v8, had it for almost 6 years, had transmission issues with it practically from day 1, June 2022 I traded it for my Colorado, v6, 2wd, 7000 lbs towing capacity, I kinda wish it was 4x4 but I only needed it once in my Silverado do to faulty directions, ending up on a dirt road just after a rain storm in Northern Florida, we live just north of Tampa, anyway I like my v6 colorado, and if I get another mid size, it'll be the frontier
@@woofman4796 nice, I had the Colorado as my 2nd choice. Both of them had trans failures (4L60 doing 4L60 things lol) Being in northern Michigan we do get heavy snow that requires 4x4 use
@JJsGA I'm from north central Maine, wife is from Poughkeepsie New York, we hate it here, weather wise that is, beyond hot, but our kids are here, and moving is a pain, so, we just absorb as much a/c all summer as we can and are out enjoying the outside when it cools off , stay safe
I have a 2nd gen sv but i basically made it into a pro4x i just did a axle swap with a pro 4x axle and i just wired the locker up to a button. The good part about the locker not being wired up to the ECU on mine is i can use my locker in 2wd 4hi and obviously in 4 lo. I also threw on a Bilstein 5100 kit from all dogs off-road and got their uca's and put some 33 inch tires. I love it Nissan makes solid trucks for sure one day all get me a 3rd gen.

@@n0xxm3rcyxx well, it's the Tundra with engine issues. Tacomas are breaking transmission cases within a few thousand miles of new. Yes, I have remote start. You have to hit the lock button then press n hold the start button and it'll fire up. Runs for about 10mins unless I hop in to leave.
I bought a 2024 SV 4x4 king cab with every option because I need a 6’ bed for my tools. If they made the pro 4x in the king cab with a 6’ bed, I would’ve bought it. A back seat I don’t need. My only complaint ,the mirrors are too small when I pull my trailers. I’m averaging 21.6 mpg so far at 1,500 miles. Just found out today there is a recall on the right side ball joint. Still stupid expensive for what it us and the only config for the Pro 4x is a very short bed which makes it basicaly a small SUV with an uncoverd trunk and pretty much useless as an actual pickup truck, unless you just wanna haul groceries or an ice chest...You can get a 6 foot bed in the 'S' and SV trims but they are still WAY overpriced for what they are imho. These dealers should be taking 10 to 15000 off and 0%. There discontinuing them because there overpriced and not in same league with comfort things.
