Cherish that book. I grew up immersed in show stables and kennels....Aviaries also. I'm 64 years old now and over the years have bred my fair share of stock. The older I get the more intrigued and appreciative I've become of exploring the history (s) of the various vocations.......In another 30 years I have a feeling you'll understand even more the importance of underdtanding and expanding your exposure to the past. Its about tradition which helps tell us where we come from and the progress that has been made over the centuries wirh various forms of husbandry. With a mentor like Richard you are well on your way L'il Brother.....I see myself in you when I was your age. - Be well and nurture that sense of tradion which is obviously already well established. - Los Angeles California

Very nice birds! I bred Portugese arlequins a few years ago. Did you know there are also crested ones ( like glosters for example). Love the native bullies! To bad they are related.
Great video Oliver and some cracking birds for next year! The old magazines are fascinating and useful.... the price of seed has gone up a bit as ypu will see, plus there was little in way of drugs and associated stuff.
