So after 5 months I now have full fibre broadband in my house, what a crazy few months it has been and after all the coming and going I eventually went with EE through the Openreach network, apologies about the video length but I feel like I really had to share my experience and hope other avoid what I have had to go through.

Great video, just popped up on youtube, as I've just gone from EE full fibre to vodafone 73 (and needed help in setting up vodafone). EE had gone up to £69 / month. We live in the middle of nowhere and agree its like night n day once your on full fibre. However 2 years on, £69 was far too much, ironically I had something similar when trying to move, I tried BT, Now TV (Sky), Talktalk etc., who all signed me up but then could only connect me via phone (i.e. no cashback etc), and then cancelled my order(s), luckily vodafone was the only one who would take my order, as they thought? I was on the old copper wire from the pole (which was ripped out when they installed the fibre optic) - anyway its all connected 7th June, and yes it only runs at 73 down and 18 up (before I got 900 /100 up). But so far I've had no bandwidth / lag / ping ? issues, so for £26 / month (+£50 cashback, quidco hopefully)), very happy.

Hyperoptic would have done your whole estate. Either way, glad you got your Gigabit connection sorted out.

Yeah don't blame you, honestly couldn't believe how much it had went up on the second attempt at trying with them, so far so good with EE.

why bang on about Vodafone routers and having wifi 6 ... when your clients are not wi-fi6 compatible. ? You didn't mention so we assume they are not. Typical tightfisted Scot. trying cityfibre

Really...tight fisted Scot? I have a family to look after so think it's natural for anyone to try and get the best deal under the current cost of living issues that we have...and if I was truly tight fisted I wouldn't be coughing up for the top package that each of rhe providers had on offer for me. Both my mobile and PC are wifi 6 compatible by the way.

if you got cityfibre - vodafone or any isp via cityfibre, you would get same download and same upload so 900 - 900 or 2500 2500, with openreach they limit the upload to the ISPs which is odd

If you use the EE app and speed test via the router part it gives you the actual speed to the router from the service. It will be nearer the 900mbps.

@user-we1hp2uj5x I did give the EE app a go to test the speed to the hub but it just refuses to work for me, app is up to date so not quite sure what the issue is with it
