I just inherited a 2005 C240 with 149k miles from my mom. Immaculate condition .She bought it new and had it serviced and ALL work done at the Anaheim Hills Mercedes dealership. I am one lucky guy, but I'm thinking of selling it to Carvana since I have my Mazda 3 hatch....
I got a 2004 Wagon $2500 (then sold my other car $1250) so out of pocket $1250. No smog issues. came with 4 New continental tires, 110K milage. Total steal. I replaced the I Center council Armrest, passenger front seat leather interior piece, LCD Display, Front Brakes/rotors, Center Gear Shift bezel, center concil below radio storage piece replacement, Mercedes Floor mats, interior door pulls on both sides, center caps. Parts All replacement parts at the salvage yard with the exception of the LCD and Center Bezel eBay. parts total less than $200 - $300 and installed repaired myself. Love it. Looks like 5k car.
Nice car! I also have a 2005 C320 in this same color combination. It's a one owner car, had 118,000 miles when I bought it two years ago. has 145,000 on it now. Did replace a few things, struts, brakes/rotors, and motor mounts. otherwise, haven't had a problem out of it since.
@@Coedai_76 thanks great to hear. These are really rock solid cars and are lovely to drive. Mine has been in the family for about 18 years and im in love with it
U better have lots of $$$ and all the tools to fix the C 240. there are oils leaks in the valve breather/ valve covers; U need special tool to remove the 12-spark expensive plugs; the ac evap fan will fail and you need to take apart the entire dash console to get access to the AC fan motor; the electronic smart key cost 500/each BC it will eventually break down; those turn signal lights 150/each on the mirrors go out every other year, that plastics glove compartment lock will fall apart . The wood grand wood panel on the center console 400/each. Important never buy a Benz made from South Africa. they dont do QC. My C300 was built from South AFrica plant and they forgot to tighten a oil seal bolt on the front of the engine, i lost all the oil and my engine seized up.
It sounds like you got a crappy made one or it was not taken care of. I have a 2007 C230 with 180,000 miles on it that looks almost new on the inside. It has zero leaks and cost me $2300 a few weeks ago
