Automotive Apprentice is a RU-vid channel run by 23 year old Thomas Libonati, that produces various videos about the vehicles that I have owned. I currently own a 2003 Mercedes E500.
Past Vehicles: 2002 Mercedes-Benz S430 Base 2005 Mercedes-Benz C240 Base 2013 Mercedes-Benz C300 4-Matic Sport Plus 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300 4-Matic Sport 2008 Ford Crown Victoria P71
Hey A.A. do you still have your E500? I wanna know if its reliable & worth the maintenance because i found one for $1,500 with 147k and i just wanna make sure its a good buy.
The car looks great man! It’s funny that we have so many of the same problems lol mine has the coil over conversion as well! It rides phenomenally. I’m getting the conductor plate on the trans replaced on Tuesday then hopefully she’ll be mint for years to come!
About to go get an 03 e500 clean body one owner starts and runs but doesn’t move. Needs a transmission, probably a radiator. Also have to fix the suspension but for the price I feel it’s hard to pass it up especially for the asking price.
@@automotiveapprentice may I ask how reliable it is? I just got one in a trade and it has 136k on the clock. How many miles does yours have. Any major issues since you’ve had it?
W211s are excellent cars. I have an E55 and just picked up an E500 lowered on coilovers with AMG wheels, E55 front and rear bumpers, and C63 quad tips out back. They’re fun and good looking cars.
Hey, Thomas! Give us that update. What's going on with the car? Looking at an E500 wagon and have this nagging feeling I'd be getting into more than I'd want problem-wise.
that blue interior is beautiful, and super rare! love the car man… these are awesome! i have an 05 E320 and it’s got some stuff that needs fixing but nothing too bad.
I have a 2003 Mercedes benz E500 with 144000 miles suspension bad changing over to BC struts to give it a good stance I enjoy the car, your's look Amazing!!! 😊
Thinking of buying a 2005 CLK 500 cabriolet with some drivers rear quarter panel damage. Tree fell on it. Still drivable. Top works. 117,000 miles for $1,500
I just inherited a 2005 C240 with 149k miles from my mom. Immaculate condition .She bought it new and had it serviced and ALL work done at the Anaheim Hills Mercedes dealership. I am one lucky guy, but I'm thinking of selling it to Carvana since I have my Mazda 3 hatch....
If you did buy it, make sure to do your basic maintenance. Check the engine mounts and make sure they’re good. If the car has airmatic suspension keep that in mind, it’s not if it breaks, it’s when.
Hi, where is this junkyard located. I’m from Queens New York. I’m looking for suspension parts for my 1985 w123 benz wagon particularly the levelling suspension parts, do you know someone or somewhere I could find these parts, used good condition parts are fine with me, also looking for mechanical/interior parts of my wagon. Thanks, hope you could help me with this one😊
Dude no way this is the pick n pull I always go to. it’s a pretty tiny lot compared to the other pick n pulls . I actually grabbed the badge off of that stanza u looked at
I have the exact same one! I’ve replaced all air bags and air bag motor twice, instrument cluster all rotors and three of the four arms! Just to show you how much I love the car 🚙
At least I am not the only one guy who likes to save old wrecks from the scrapyard. I own a W211 2004 and had a lot of work for it and had to do a engine swap and many more. Nice car and keep up the work man, the W211 if treated properly will repay you în full.
@@DieselPurge I actually keep track of blue interiors I find and I have an 04 on my list, silver over blue. Here’s the vin, feel free to search it. WDBUF82J04X162405
@@automotiveapprentice I looked up the VIN and looked at the 2004 brochure and you're right, blue was available for 2003/04 I stand corrected 👍 I have a 05 e320 cdi
Yo I’m buying a e500 and I want to upgrade it as well. I’m picking it up in jersey to bring it to NY. Wanna help me upgrade it? Or suggest any parts I could do to upgrade it.
Did you end up getting the car? I have actually relocated to South Carolina. I will be updating the channel with an update on my E500. A lot has happened to the car. Some good, some not so good.
thinking about getting a E500 Lorinser Edition 5.0L V.8 going for $6,900 looks super nice and clean but has high miles 189,591 do you guys thing it’s worth it ? will the engine at least last me 2 more years ? just tryna buy something rn for a daily
So I'm trying to but my first car and I'm low on funds. But I have the same car near me for 2,200 in similar condition. I just wanted to ask how much did you end up spending on the car?
Quite a bit. I don’t have the actual numbers but a lot of stuff I did wasn’t 100% necessary at the time but I wanted to fix it all. I know I am late responding to this comment but if you have purchased the car just gradually fix it up. It’s also better to try and do some of the work yourself.
I recently purchased a 2005 e500 with the amg sport package for 1300!. 155k. She was slammed on the ground, air pump not working. Replaced the airpump relay and it came to life!
