The version you bought with the 2.0 engine does 0-60mph in roughly 9.6s, though there is also a slightly less popular 1.8 turbo version of this generation of beetle with 150hp and a 0-60 time of 7.5s. However, that VW 1.8T engine is known for its tunability, and this car with that engine and around $3000 worth of engine upgrades can output upwards of 350hp at the wheels. At that point, the 0-60 time is almost purely traction limited. In a rolling race, it would for sure beat pretty much any modern hot hatch, maybe apart from the new RS3 Sportback. And yes, it comes with a manual. Seriously Parker, you should've gotten one of those.
