Love the Mediterranean dishes! Spent three years in Turkey & really loved the culinary amalgamation that they have going on there. Truly the best of the whole region, in one cuisine. ❤️🔥🌶
Just tried this one. Had to improvise on the pepper. Used a red bell and an Anaheim. Gave it great flavor! Other than that fallowed the recipe. Really good! Thank you for sharing.
YUMMY!! I made this with a few variations. I made some Italian sausage (removed from the casings) set it aside, then in the same cast iron pan, sweat some jalapenos, finger hot peppers and added tomatoes. Let the flavours combine and then added the meat back in to the pan. Let that simmer for about 20mins and yes, I added cheese :) The last addition was the scrambled eggs and once again, let those flavours all marry up. Absolutely delicious. Thank you for an awesome recipe. Love all of your recipes!
I'm really digging your dishes and have Mediterranean family history Both North and South Italy as well as Greece), straight off the boat and went through Ellis Island. I absolutely love your recipes. I need to make some for my parents to impress them beyond baklava. Subscribed!!
I am turkish but you made menemen better than me and you have great ideas make menemen better for differnt culters you should go to istanbul and make menemen for Turks l am sure they will love it because you are a good chef you know what you doing.
My wife (Spanish) cook similar dish but uses my similar ingredients sauce I make and is a delicious dish😳🤔😁👍😋😋😋😋😋😋💯thank you🔥👌going to add cheese next time😋💯have another similar and add califlower ,onions, broccoli 👌
Absolute madness Mike😵💫In Greece we have something similar calles *Strapatsátha* but (unfortunately) without the chilies and with Feta cheese. In my variation I use Turkish Sucuk saucage which is very spicy. Take care🌶
This recipe looks great but I would have liked to see how it looks when you serve it. Especially, how solid it is with the eggs. Thanks, I do like your recipes.
I've made that for breakfast today, I took shortcuts but it's basically the same, used bell peppers, onyo jalapeños (salsa) and mushrooms. Topped with mozzarella old smoked cheddar cheese
Sup mike, how did I miss this😳, did shopping, I see breakfast, I'm in with brown butter, after starts brown I add wagyu tallow, if out I use crisco. Wish could see your garden lol. Tyvm tc
@@ChiliPepperMadness sup mike, made today with hot Portuguese chorizo had, and finished just Calabrian chilies.. was awesome.. but right any peppers work, I've added chorizo to shakshuka eggs so why not lol. Really only difference was cooking of eggs? Too bad eggs expensive 🤣😂, again tyvm Yea little confused if difference between menemen and shakshuka is just how eggs cooked?? When add becomes same except eggs lol. Way head works 🤯🤷
Why didn't you show the final product!? When you popped the lid and showed the top it looked like the eggs weren't done yet. Should have shown a close-up of the dish being scooped, etc. Bummer
Shakshuka doesn’t have cheese or meat, which he mentions as a potential addition. True, this is very similar to shakshuka, it’s clearly a different dish.
