Indigo Traveller Yeah !! Slippers basically and it differs on types and also called as Sandals, chappals, " seruppu" in my native language 😁 and it has different names in different languages in India 😜 and people use to call it what strikes at instance 🙂

I have to disagree with the people claiming lebanon as a whole is expensive, for example a small cup of arabic coffee is about 3.6 usd in beirut or somewhere in that region depending where you buy it from but outside of beirut on the extremities where most tourists don't bother going the same cup is like 0.66 usd and sometimes less. a pastry called man'oushe usually with thyme or cheese is less than half the price outside of central beirut than inside. in good areas in beirut the apartment costs per square meter are close to 10k+ usd while outside it is 1 or 2 k.... there are many parts of beirut that are still cheap though just because tourists don't go there. just consider that average waiter salaries here are close to 700-800$ excluding tips,new military recruit in the lowest rank is in the 900-1000 us dollar region,i'm a Sergeant with a computer sciences degree(the job required it) and I get 1600usd excluding benefits of course(then again I did waste 4 years during which I could have worked and earned money instead of spent some for tuition and made up for that difference in salary -_- ). in short "touristy place"=tourist's prices... and this applies anywhere you travel around the world really but is a bit stronger when it comes to beirut.
