technical stuff •
my jingle music is by boyfriend and his guitar, other music featuring is free of licence and from the RU-vid studio. I’m using my iPhone 13 pro to shoot my videos and edit them using the InShot app. I use the Canva app to create all my artwork like my thumbnails, the illustrations are by lilys_creative_space on instagram!

I actually teared up watching this video! For a long time I have been floundering in my university studies, not knowing what to do, not wanting to disappoint family, not wanting to fail, not wanting to change who I am (and also deeply wanting change). But the way you speak with visible happiness over your new chapter is very inspiring and endearing to me. It took a lot of courage for you to end your PHD, and I am so happy your new venture is bringing you joy. Here's to all of us figuring out what makes us happy for the time we spend on this earth

I find that “chatting” at the end of podcasts is more convenient for people who are not really interested in that part of knitting videos.

me too, that’s what I usually do! but since this was a huge life transition/ life changing decision and I also choose to speak about my mental health on here to be my authentic self and also possibly help destigmatize mental illnesses and conditions, such as anxiety disorders, I have chosen to put it in first for once. this is a space on the internet that I have created to share about my life and making & no one is forced to watch any videos + there so many videos to choose from so I would recommend rather shutting off a video and moving on than leaving comments like this. I‘m not trying to be mean, just trying to show we’re my boundaries lay when it comes to ‚feedback‘ - I don’t need to nor do I want to be convenient for other people, I just want to be myself and not overthink everything constantly which would kill the joy of creating any content for me.

Hi Marlene!!! I haven't caught up with you in a while and I love to see how comfortable you've gotten in front of the camera. Watching you feels like hanging out with a friend. I'm so happy for you in this new chapter. Being alive is such a precious gift and we've really got to be intentional with how we spend our time on this earth - bit by bit the days become years, decades - and although it might take a lot of braveness to redirect, it's absolutely vital. Enjoy your time working in the yarn shop! A dream experience for most knitters ❤❤❤ tho it sounds like a lot of hard work as well. Your projects are looking beautiful and I can’t wait to see your finished stick season. I didn’t notice any difference because of the texture of the ribbing. It looks great!

Congratulations on your new job. It sounds pretty perfect to me. After watching your Copenhagen vlog and seeing the treasures that you bought there it makes me really want to visit the city and Denmark. Pretty easy to get to from Scotland too. I am currently knitting the Aster Shawl by Natasja Hornby and the main colour is an alpaca, silk and cashmere yarn. You will not be disappointed with how it knits up. It is so nice and perfect for a shawl or accessory.

I'm so happy for your new job! If the parents of my students (primary school teacher) are having a go on my job-partner and I for really nothing - I sometimes dream of just quit and work in the local yarn store... ;-P I love the stick season sweater in this color! Just a dream!

Oh, leider wohne ich gar nicht in der Ecke von Marburg. Ansonsten würde ich sofort eine Wolle-Farb-Beratung bei dir machen!:) Ich wünsche dir, dass du zur Ruhe kommen kannst in diesem Herbst und mit dir und deiner Entscheidung im Reinen bleiben darfst. Ich finde es super mutig, aus alten Träumen/Vorstellungen auszubrechen, wenn man merkt, dass sie einen kaputt machen. Freu mich schon auf den Content und ich träume von einer sweet shop blanket. Vielleicht wird mein Zukunfts-Ich eines Tages eine anschlagen. Deine ist super schön. Wie immer liebe ich dein Farbkonzept sehr!❤

that’s a great idea! my favorite café is „die pause“ and I love all the book stores we have as well as a stationary store called „typopoetry“! we also have a castle and a beautiful botanical garden :)
