Let's take a tour through my newly revamped lapidary shop! I have done a lot of updates and upgrades lately and wanted to walk you through a tour of the new shelves and display for our minerals, including many beautiful agates! As well as show you our two husky, height adjustable, workbenches that hold most of our lapidary equipment! Including, one workbench has our 8" cabking cabbing machine, and the other, has our dopping station, 5" trim saw, and our 8" flat lap. Our 10" lapidary saw is outside in my garage and our tumbler is in the process of being put back into commission with a new project. I had so much fun updating our lapidary shop and I hope you all enjoy our lapidary videos!

Omg heaven! I would LOVE to have something like that! I work in a corner or on a tray and trying to find a affordable way to cut and shape stones before tumbling to make jewellery - I’m disabled and making jewellery keeps me sane but I have no space or the money to get the right tools or even “make do” Tools!! You say your “shop” isn’t much but I beg to differ it’s amazing 😊😊😊😊

Love the workshop. The work benches are cool. I need to get one of those. I am slowly turning an old camper into my work space. Won't be as cool looking as yours. But will be functional.

Super awesome! I’m always wanting to redo my area but I have so little space and no extra cash to buy a new storage setup. It’s on the list though. I definitely lots more little storage tubs instead of cardboard boxes holding all my rocks haha. That space is looking very nice!

Nice! Your area is way too neat and organized! How on earth do you get anything done in all that neat! lol! It looks amazing! Looks like you have everything you need to be a full on lapidary! and plenty of room left for rocks you collect this summer! I remember when all you had was the very noisy tumbler and rocks in jars! Youve come a huge, long way! Thanks for sharing your shop! Its gorgeous!

I have a Husky Desk like that too, well workbench, and use it like a stand-up or sit-down desk. You have definitely inspired me to fix up my amateur workshop (LOL) now that I have my Hi Tech 10" Saw. Nice job on the new layout and thanks for sharing! 😊

Freaking awesome!!! I love it! I have one entire garage wall ( that’s all I get for right now) and I copied your shelves but made them 6’ W x 4’ T. Then another one but not as wide. I have 2 lottos and 3 tumblers and I bought a wet tile saw just like the one you gave to 99 rockhounding 😃 but want the diamond really bad! I’m saving up for the cab king!! But your rock shop looks awesome! Great job! I’m totally gonna copy the changing lights 👍🤪 Thanks for the idea!

I would recommend the cabking over everything TBH, flat laps a great place to start but you’ll save a lot of time polishing just going with a cabking

You need a Covington vibra flat lap. Awesome work space though. You’ll have better luck getting lortone parts by calling and getting on a waiting list.

@@AgateDad oh nice I bet you’ll get some awesome tumbles. Just do what Michigan rocks guy does he’s one of the best tumblers on RU-vid. You might need a smaller one or the vibrating one to get the best results in later stages but the 12lb is great for stage one.

Recently subscribed. I live in northern Thailand near Burma and often find jasper and agates on walks. Rock hounding has become a hobby, but I am wondering if such a hobby can make money on the side. Do you sell your rocks anywhere? Or is such an endeavor not feasible-even on the scale of your collection and lapidary?
