I love how most RU-vidrs wait until everything is unpacked and like picture perfect before doing a tour and Olivia’s like ah sure I’ll unpack next month ❤
@olivia neill keep the wood! It’s soo lovely. Just maybe sand it down so it’s more of a lighter, airy colour and it brings more vibrance to the rooms and match the vibe of the flat :) congrats on the new flat! Feel like a proud sisterrrr 🥰
Also the person commented the idea of getting a long lead for phill is such a good idea, you can just attach it to yourself or tie it to something for awhile and let him explore wherever you have it
Olivia!! Sauna's are the absolute BEST if you are hungover. You spend like 20-30 minutes in it and you just sweat out absolutely every bit of alcohol that was in your system and then you just have a quick shower after and you feel like a brand new bitch. They are literally life changing for hangovers. I 10/10 recommend!!
You should put Phil on a lead! Also I’d move the dining table down under the sky light or put a chase lounge near it so when it rains you can lie on it and read
Look at Olivia jades old room tour from like 2018, her bedroom was so similar with the massive bathroom having the same style dressing cupboards. It looks so expensive and unique that tone of wood 👀
id put some books on the little shelves of the guest bedroom and/or some PR like some hand cremes or something u might receive! in love w ur apartment xx
As someone who’s gonna be an interior designer, here’s a couple ideas for you: Either keep the wood the same, have a sanded down for a lighter wood, or stained for a different finish… or if you really want to paint it, do an earthy color like brown (for a woody look) or green. Also for the balcony you could do either loungers or a cool hammock and then a small table with one or two chairs for coffee (or matcha!) For the bathroom with the blue tiles, i honestly think you could make it look sick if you put up some wallpaper that kinda matches them. And also just cool light fixtures and a pretty mirror.
Tip! For the kitchen sink, have a built-in dish soap dispenser so you don't have to have a bottle of it on the counter. Its so easy to have installed and looks so much better
you should get those attachments for the top of the fence that stop cats getting out, i think they roll so they cant jump up. that way phil can go out but not out of the garden!
don’t paint the cupboards but get some plants and maybe some art for the bedroom and for the little shelves I would get some coffee books like fashion books or photography books !! and you definitely need some loungers in the garden or at least an outdoor dining area. the person who had the house before you though obvs loved the garden so I’d keep it quite similar to what it is; also great selection of books lol !
Wow I love it!! From a interior designer point of view, don’t paint the wood! You could treat it so it’s a more grey / taupe tone! It’s a lovely feature and texture xx
Don’t. Paint. The. Wood. Honestly I will cry. Pls, take it from a Scandinavian: it’s an absolute crime to paint wood - especially such beautiful mid century style wood as the one you got 💔
hey lovely with Phil, 1. the bowls are quite deep this can give him whisker fatigue (which will stop him eating) so a flat dish is actually better for cats 2. personally i wouldn’t let him out (it’s not cruel if you think about how dangerous it is for them), instead you could get a catio built upstairs on that little balcony thing so you can have that door open and he can go outside but in his own limited space and a catio would mean he wouldn’t have to be monitored but he can be safe❤
@@violetteharrold3942 ragdolls are indoor cats tho, if you google they physically cannot be outdoor cats cos they panic and will get lost and it’s dangerous
@@violetteharrold3942 It's not cruel unless you're planning on neglecting your indoor cat, outdoor cats have less of a lifespan than indoor cats, are more susceptible to flees and worms, can be killed various ways including people poisoning them (which happened to my outdoor cat when I was younger), as long as your indoor cat is stimulated with toys frequently, plenty of water dotted around the house and you give it lots of love and attention it is not at all cruel to keep your cat as an indoor cat
Yeah changing bowls as well ain’t good, always gotta go for the same style. I’m thinking of getting a cat or 2 but nervous to let them out but also don’t wanna just make them house cats
@@Sarah-m17 as long as the bowl is ceramic rather than plastic (plastic can get bacteria in very small scratches on the bowl) changing their bowls is fine, honestly I don't personally believe having indoor cats is negative at all, they live longer and you can actually create a better bond with them and theres nothing stopping you taking them on walks which will ensure they can explore the outside in a safe manor - i've had both indoor and outdoor cats all my life and i can safely say my indoor cats have lived longer, been more healthy and happier than my outdoor cats:)
Gorgeous new home!!!!! I think the dining table would work great underneath the skylight next to the french doors? And then you could maybe have a desk/study area next to the fireplace? :)
Look into a catio for Phil! It’s a safe outside enclosure for cats - I have 2 cats and they love spending time outside in it and I know that there safe :)
I don't personally like the colour of the wood so I'd be having the same thoughts as you! but if I change it I'd want it to still be a natural, earthy colour. I'm just not a fan of the oak type of colour!
When I first got my kitten we walked her on a cat lead in the garden for a couple of weeks to let her explore but eventually she’d always want to wriggle out the harness 😂after that I just kept an eye on her in the garden and she’s never ran away. So if phill will let u, try a cat lead ha ha
